btw, does msian bikes need to pay anything to come in to sg?
I believe they do. At the checkpoint they insert their cashcards. I could be wrong though. But they seem to be 'untouchable' by the Traffic Police or the LTA. They seem to have so much more illegal mods than us having legal exhausts. Wonder if they even have a legit licence and insurance not forgetting roadtax. I strongly believe if every one of them are screened before entering SG. Sure there will be a number stopped for not having any of these documents. But of course doing so will make the jam worst. Their authorities are already doing it to us why not ours?

Its illegal over there when its on an SG registered plate only. Whatever that is not on an SG registered plate can be used in SG and across the border. Just look around. Doubt its a lose-lose situation. More like we always lose situation.

Beside the COE is high in Singapore! Last week when I visited my father in law is SGH, it makes me more angry, why? As a public hospital the charges for motor bike is $1.00 per hour( I park there for 3hrs), where else I went to Gleneagles hospital (private hospital) before, motor bikes is free parking! When I checked with the control room about the charges, the lady told me infect they don't even want bikes to park at the car park! Bikes want to park pay more!

** Another thing to highlight is the nursing care service now at SGH " A&E and C class wards" is horrible! Patients can wait for almost one whole day before they can have a bed, my father in law and some other patients keep waiting and most of them can't get the nurse to help them to the toilet and they start urinating on their pants. When you call for the nurses they seem to be acting very busy, but they're not from that point of time. You can talk to one of them now the next minutes or seconds they started to disappear!

I have to personally help my father in law to change his wet pants! In the C class ward is worst about 4 days the nurse didn't bring him for a bath! C class is like leaving the patients to rot!

Imagine what will be for the future, if you or your family members were to be warded to the hospital!

that's why i left after 20 years of service.they supposedly give us free space at the MSCP 10 minutes walk away. if you dont reach there in time, its full already all mix. by sgh workers, outsiders, some malaysia workers from where i dont know.

ward 63 and 64 since ages ago are like that. i pity my old friends who had to work there. they get oppressed by the upper hierachy and also the patients, realtives and also the lower hiearachy.

i guess why everything is so ex there is because, they are paying high salary for the staff. even the FT. and also with all the accreditation they want to get from international, they charge extra like the motorcycle parking.

I prefer high, very high ERP charges and no COE at all. Wat's wrong with owning a car why penalise if u're going to use it off peak, in non congested road or even keep at home for that occasional fun drive? It does not contribute to any congestions. This will also spread out traffic away from the peak period more effectively.

We have seen how very high parking charges have resulted in ppl taking public transport or park & ride to certain places. These high running cost have more impact on decision whether to drive or not rather than the COE scheme which can be ammortised over 5 to 10 years period.

hope to see ERP charges in to town and major expressways during peak hours to be in the range of $20 upwards.

This +1.

Car will not be only available to those rich (or who think they are) but open up to more people, giving people choices, instead of all people thinking car is the ultimate choice of all transportation and they have to use it because they have paid so much,

sadly the ppl who run this country is not not known to give choices to the people they serve

Liverpool revival has started....

They see running the country as a sacrifice yet say NS is a privilege. It should be the other way round.

I have been thinking about the saying "only rich can afford to buy cars" these few days, thinking of how true it is. Actually, it not true totally, because most of us can get bank loans, installments to buy a car.

So in reality, the saying should be "those average and above can afford to buy cars, but only the rich can afford them easily". "Easily" as in they can repay the bank loans faster or with less effort. I'm saying this because we need to be clear of our stand before ppl can shoot our arguments down easily.

Hence I believe what we are fighting now is ways to reduce the burden of the average, due to the fact that coe price is growing out of proportions, which we need to stop this.

Hard truths sucks...

COE is getting higher and higher and highest, bikes and cars size is getting bigger but car and bike parking space is still remaining the same size!

Others said our standard living is High but I will say we have "High COST of living" in this small country that most of the people are suffering weekly, monthly and yearly :(

Now electric scooter is illegal

That make the gov very clever

Coz my workplace has a route to my home. If ridden with throttle base scooter/bicycle

I might juz retire from motorcycling

Saved at least $600 every month

My work place can charge the battery

Past to present rides

Honda nsr sp 150 pro arm

Honda super4 ver s - yamaha rxz 135

Honda cbr 600 rr

Suzuki hayabusa 1300 - yamaha cygnus 125 - yamaha lc135 spark

Aprilia sr max 300 I.e

Is illegal but hard to implement or enforce..

Still cheap when people just leave it agent/dealer to bid for them or on a 7 years installment plans.

I think is the convenience that the dealers had given to us and used it as an advantage to themselves.

Let's wait for a few months, I still dont think it is sustainable.
