didnt know boxer engine got sound..

Subaru engines emit a distinct note unique only to boxer engines. It's more distinct on old air-cooled VW beatles. TSs can have a more pronounced boxer note by changing to unequal length extractors. It is legal but you lose some low-end performance.

what is needed for 1st 1.6k servicing..?

Just replaced with regular engine oil. Most will stick to mineral oil for the next few change, then you can decide to switch to synthetic oil.

the rear seats cant be folded dwn.

Only the rear seats of the TS wagon can folded down.

u mean hear frm the exhaust or frm the engine itself? is there equal & unequal extractor?

as for fuel comsumption...if u wan an economical car u wont be gettin a subaru.for the feel n outlook its worth the money..

if one is used to 2l fc, then any 1.6l is a relief.. heheh

i've seen many green, gold, dark black malaysian cars otr..

hopefully the officers wont pick on any minor faults with sg cars..

anyway overlooked all abt the solar, end up was given min 70% tint..

so going for darker back & 2rear sides.. se quoted cost abt 200 before discount..

any advice which should go for.. is rear 30% too dark..? front can darken max to how many %..?

:(

blah blah blah...

anyone know weight of the orig alu bonnet?

it is very light.. is it the same lightness as the wrx..

any wrx owner changing to carbon fibre ones..? sell or trade their oem?

:)

All TS after the "bugeye" series come with aluminium bonnet.

Personally I would not advise for TS to change to a scoop bonnet because you are exposing the engine bay to the elements unnecessarily. Of course you can prevent that by sealing off the bonnet below the scoop, however that would still induce unnecessary drag.

Most would prefer to have FMIC (like EVO) so that it will do away with the scoop and it's has better cooling efficiency.

:)

For street riding, there is practically no reason to change bonnet make from aluminium to CF, except for the bling factor. The weight saving is negligible, less than the weight of own spare tire.

Dropping it's cc, for the TS, from 1.6 to 1.5 makes the car from being slow to slower. According to specs, 0 - 100kph is 13.7s :giddy:

Some people have commented it looks like a Gen2, Mazda3, basically it has lost it's distinct subaru look.

Any idea what's the indicative price ?

Lenso rims are Thai made, and they are quite light. For 17" rim with F1 Eagle tyres for $1200 (after trade-in price) is not expensive since it's only $300 per wheel.

Since the trade-in value for your stock wheels is only $200, you might as well keep them as spare, presumbly you have the space. Because, should you regret, as many do o_O , changing to 17" for whatever reasons, you can revert to stock, and sell off the Lenso wheels.

Maybe you can check out this deal :

PS : I am not the seller.
