dude.. i paid 189 for SMC.. and guy from Cybermind said that brand is better than linksys..

I almost fainted back then trying to pacify my SMC Barricade DSL modem...

Reset, reset, reset...that dam* thing kept on getting corrupted (its firmware), shutting off my internet connection frequently.

By the way, I'm sitting beside my Linksys product...it's quite stylish and hasn't misbehaved since.

then a message pops saying it only works on IE. Aiyah..now i cant load the "MagicTune" program.Anyone has the same problem?pls help

Run that software again. When Mozilla FF opens, take note of the WWW address (or copy it)

Open IE, then type (or paste) the address into it.

hope 500 gb or 1 terrabyte external HDD price drop liao... :cheeky:

With a history working as a customer service engineer in a high-end computer store, I've seen my fair share of people complaining and sulking that their hard drives have crashed and they can't get their precious data back.

This is why I never liked buying "big and fat" hard-drives.

Once it crashes, gigabytes of data gets lost forever.

That's why I buy 2 hard drives with tens of gigabytes of space just for my stuff. One goes into my computer, the other is external, and I make my computer periodically back up only my important stuff to the external one. If it fails, at least there's some hope.

Just my 2¢ :)
