Have you experience clutch slip when you whack the throttle? If it does, time for you to change.

hmmmm.....a very obvious thing u'll find when ur clutch finishing is when u clutch in engage gear 1 from neutral gear that moment ur bike suddenly got the slight pull while u still clutching in....its the same on my SP and CBR....so normally i feel this i noe its time to change clutch plates liao....

i dont have the clutch slip problem, but got difficulty getting to neutral or changing gear ... i was thinking whether the gear shift pedal joint rusty or lack oil?

Lessons:

1) Dont panic. Panic make you cannot use brain

2) Dont dream on the road :faint: ...

3) Look at where you're going and your own bike ... dont peep at others one :dot:

could be clutch plates problem, on the other hand, could be the gear lever.

I had the same problem, extremely difficult to kick to neutral, and sometimes quite difficult to kick from 1st to 2nd gear...for my case, my gear lever was 'loose' in a way, causing alot of allowance when kicking in the gears, my clutch plates were also damaged and had some scratches...

ah ... i was thinking along the same lines, partly because the clutch plates havent been changed in 6 years? is 6 years normal life expectancy of the clutch plates?
