i doubt pilot sport has sizes for kups right.. the smallest would be 120/60/17 or 120/70/17 which are class 2A bikes front tire size.

 

i would take bt039ss 90/80 for the rear..

1) since when do we judge tyre performance by their outlook??

 

2) how do you decode the a "70/90 tyre" to be a squarish design??

do you know what the numbers 70/90 mean?

 

70 is the tire width

 

90 is the tire wall size

 

70/90 will be more squarish as compared to a 90/80 tire.

 

if you look at some cubs using 80/90 (the cheapest ones) and compare it to those using 90/80 ones, you'll realise 80/90 tires are very "squarish" as compared to 90/80 ones which are rounder. which ones would you be more confident to corner on? round or square tires?

i don't know what units of measurements are those figures in. but if you know the least bit about tires, you should know what those figures mean to you. we're talking about proportions here, what UOM doesn't matter, does it?

since when was the comparison of 80/90 tires was between 2 different brands? i'm comparing the tire size. in the case of TT90(thailand) tires, the cheapest would be 80/90, followed by 80/80, and lastly 90/80.

yo bro..chill out..anyway,im using the 70/90 currently.n my rear tire is 90/80..was told by my mech that the combination is good..so far can corner smoothly..been using it abt 6 months already.so far no wear n tear..n its not ugly lei..bcoz michelin pilot sporty shape of the tire is different compare to other type of tires..thats wat i noticed..peace out!

IF, if only you knew what the numbers stand for, you would knew that they are of the SAME UNIT OF MEASUREMENTS. but sadly, i can't assume when it comes to people like you.

a typical tire would have a third number at the back (80/90/17*). 17 stands for the rim size, which in this case is 17 INCHES.

 

please go do your homework before you try to start a discussion on something you know nuts about (like what does the numbers on the tire wall mean). if you don't even know what they stand for, there's no point continuing this discussion on why a 80/90 tire would be more squarish as compared to a 90/80 tire.

btw.. you were the one who couldnt answer my question of what 70/90 exactly meant... and if you would read your prev posts, there are actually small errors in YOUR interpretations of tyre specification... which i rest my case.

and now you avoid what we were really having a dicussion on. so tell me, which tires are rounder, 80/90, compared to 90/80? or do you just go one whole big round just to avoid answering me again? hmm..

yes, i do agree that i've made small mistakes about what the numbers really meant, but at least i go and look up what's do they really stand for. rather than those who just argue on who's making mistake when the biggest mistake is the person himself.
