I think there's something wrong with my clutch plates. My bike feels generally less powerful than before and the engine needs to rev higher to reach the same speed. Engine braking also quite jialat now. Any clues?

Like you said, clutch got problem, must be worn out lor, so change clutch lining lah!

(lining only, not whole clutch assembly hor)

But seriously go Planet check when you change oil again. More professional, safer than we guessing here.

From screen, online diagnose bike problem without looking/hearing the bike not accurate one, wait later, it's because you more used to the bike, find that no power, spend the money change this change that, but actually nothing wrong, we will feel bad one you know? :D

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

it could be just that..

there is the posibility..that the chain/sprocket is kaput..i suggest u take a look here.

.worse still your piston and rings need replacement..symptoms =lack power, makan eo, smoking bike..

or it may be a case of bad carb and air filter..a little tuning and cleaning may solve problem.

yeah best send for professional opinion..

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

glad that you changed your horns... the stock horn is hazardously soft... :cheeky:

Hi VidaK, yes 'hazardously' is the right word here and I'm very happy with the new one. Anyway, 1 item off my mod list and 4 more to go! Ah Chong mentioned that I may need to change some of my cables/wirings if I want to change to wider handle bars. Do they cost much? Any indication in price?

if your handlebar is really so wide that you have to change your cables and wirings [ape hangers, gorilla hangers (LOL.), et cetera...]...

clutch and throttle cable about $27 together, wiring extension you can do it yourself

hmmm... that's not too bad. Cos, I've checked with another shop previously and he quoted like $70 to $100+ per cable which is quite scary lor! Anyway, need to visit Ah Koon & Eugene this week for the other items. Thanks!

Hi all, thanks for your comments! The bike still runs kinda normal now, though slightly underpowered and there are some weird noises. Will ask ah chong to check during my monthly maintenance! :cheeky:
