Yes, I did.

APF and USPA member as well but that was 6 - 7 years ago.

it makes very good sense to be jumping out of a plane as long as you know why you are doing it.

for Static line jumps, you basically got no free fall time.

just jump, the line pulls and rig opens.

Plus it's usually done at lower altitudes.

The experience of freefall (even if you do tandem) is a beautiful feeling of human body flight.

saw a news report of this dude who took private lessons @ malaysia up to learjet licenses. he's not full fledged commercial pilot per se with boeing/airbus planes nevertheless he's still flying but smaller planes for Pelangi Air. and that's only on his rest days from his normal main job. got about 700RM per flight to mostly short destinations like krabi and kota kinabalu.

does it mean that he actually self-learn up to the CPL or ATPL stages? i think it was mentioned he coughed up close to 30k.

reference 28/02/07 Berita Harian main page.

i think its impossible la.i still have the newspaper article.and im from Elite flying club, the club dat he claim take up ppl n cpl.dat club doesnt even have learjet much more offer cpl..n 30K for everything? siao ah.when i took cpl in Oz last time was nearly 50k.after reading the article again,i think he took the jet rating in MAS after knowing the pilot from MAS.still it would be interesting if i bump into him @ de airport.can ask him how he do it.newspaper articles are not to believed 100%.reporters know nothin n skew the actual story :nono:
