The news about Ducati young rider died by Lorry on PIE yesterday, realize i should take death insurance for my family.

Condolence to him and his family.

 

I want to buy personal accident insurance and my focus is to cover Death by motorcycle accident, please note I am foreigner working in sg.

I have checked NTUC PA plan and it says as below, from what I understand, motorcycle rider, died by motorcycle accident is not cover as PA.

i went to check out on ntuc pa insurance as well because i saw on their website that they cover motorcycling riding.

 

this link shows their policy wordings version "PL/PA Assurance/201505", page 13/17, http://www.income.com.sg/forms/policy-conditions/pa-assurance.aspx?ext=.pdf where under 2 General Exclusion, "m" an accident while you are driving or riding on a motor race track;

 

and on this link, it shows under Features follow by Additional Protection For You At No Cost, http://www.income.com.sg/Insurance/Personal-accident-insurance/PA-Assurance , it states Motorcycling riding (except riding on a motor race track)

 

hmm.. probable there is an update where it covers motorcycling riding now..

Best is to compare what is included when comparing.

i just bought 1 with aia, it consists of an add-on which is "broken bones".

not forgetting the saf-aviva one

I think it's best to be honest with the agent that is buying mainly for bike accident protection, then they can advise better. used to be I with AIA with my agent. she can advise better if any of their product is suitable for u. I understand some products have excludes, usually when we too busy to read or understand, still better to be honest upfront. hospital bills is no joke if insurer going to use excludes to escape responsibility.
