Kind reminder to all DIY EO change:

It is illegal to dispose of hazardous materials (EO) into common bins, chutes and public drains (not to mention environmentally very bad). Please take your used EO to a shop that can dispose of it safely and properly for you.

i'll be going on overseas from 16th-19th April...so hopefully can go together with u after that :)

think my bike's needing an EO change soon...btw an rider friend of mine recommended getting fully synthetic EO, he says it's better and lasts longer..any comments anyone?

i'll probably need to change a side mirror too...parked my bike near the workplace one day...

when i came back to it after work, the bearing holding the mirror was torn...sigh...

lol....

personally i find fully EO better.. the different between semi and fully EO is the thickness of the oil...

yup. personal choice..

maybe u wanna leave your Number or something? Finrod be going workshop next week(after your holidays) most likely i will company him.. hehe.

no... the difference is not the thickest... the difference is the purity of the EO... fully syn being totally pure, and semi/mineral oil being unpure as they contain impurities...

Go to lab for oem mirror. For fully syn eo, generally yes but dont overdo the mileage.

Not thickness. But it does provide better protection.

so the mileage would like a bit more than using normal semi EO? perhaps ard 2k -3k?

does using a nicer smelling shower foam allow you to bath once every two days...? I dun think so... right?

haha, i bathe twice a day normally, so by using a nicer smelling shower form, i can bathe just once a day ...please don't mind me, just feeling cranky in the morning, but i get your analogy :)

but anyway i would like to try fully syn EO and feel the difference for myself..

been on my phantom for about a month now...slowly getting the feel of it and getting to love it more haha

Is it that when you depress the pedal hard, then it will sure light up? If it is, maybe you just need to adjust the sensitivity of the brake light trigger.

thanks anyway :)

Check the connections between the wires and the lights itself. I had that problem with my monster, the mech wanted to change both front and rear switches at first so I saved $200+ by doing a simple check.

how do i do that? i tried searching thru the threads but so far couldn't find anything...i'm a newbie to bikes so quite afraid to mess up more than already done..but i'll keep searching...wanna save as much as possible too :)

thanks!

If you don't know anything about electricals (like me), just bring it to a mech you know and ask him to help you check. A simple job like that should be free, I would recommend planet motors.
