Hi,

Will soon be joinging the PK family and is interested in DIY. I am not sure if DIY sessions invite 'yet-to-be' riders to tag along. There is so much abt the TA200 that I want to ask you experienced PKs. I live in the west, Bt Panjang to be exact. If you don't mind, pls invite me if you are fixing your own bike or something. Extra hands might turn out helpful.

Thanks!

ideally, it should be powered when ignition is on, but there are ppl who tap direct for it to be "live".

it depends on how you want it.

if you prefer the before, you can have a supply distributor, activated when ignition is on.

meaning:

Battery -> Fuse -> Relay, tapped to rear lights -> Supply distributor -> Fuse(s) -> Power item

thought your STX already has pre-wired coupling @ behind the left side glove compartment??

you can get the OEM 12v socket, using back the connectors, extend the wires to desire via DIY then mount elsewhere?

That's a good question. The best answer to it is it is very OEM.

So, some quick qns.

What type of 12v socket are you getting? OEM or aftermarket's?

Where do you intend to mount it @?

I was doing some read ups on the ST-P right hand side switches, are read that some oversea ST owners, either live with the socket mounted inside the glove compartment, or, add on and mount it on the side fairing.

Have to bore holes of cos...

But there's other opitions whereby you can purchase a pre-fab mounting plate & mount it @ the brake/clutch reservoir mounting bolts there.

lengthy to type out.. can discuss over kopi.

Hey guys, just fyi a bit ar....

Yesterday when i got to my bike, around 5+. Noticed that someone had stuffed some rubber into my engine block tower. The gray color thing that houses the spark plug. It looked like jagged synthetic rubber or something. Only aesthetic damage, not sure if its prank or what... soooo. just letting you all know, just check your bikes before moving off.

most items to ignition... emergency items like strobe lights and or warnings would probably be wired straight to fusebox... :thirsty:
