from queries 2 ta thread:

pardon my directness, but how do one define the carb's dirty?

other than petrol and or filtered air's going thru it, it shouldnt be that really dirty isnt it?

unless the bike's air filter has not been replaced or serviced(K&N) for a really long time or the tank's seeping water into the carbs, it should be in a good condition itself. no?

always have a habit of pre-ride route plan beforehand.

when reading maps, try to rmber where's the destination point, rmber nearby distinctive landmarks, how and where of the major and minor roads.

go slow if unassure of where, stop & park @ side not blocking to traffic to read yr maps again if needed...

XR is heavy as a pig.. :p

but good aircool engine.. cant find anymore... :thumb:

and even now.. XR owners are selling like 7k.... :faint:

compared to Husky 510.. 2008 model, sold for 8.5k with motard and offroad set up

well, since you're only going for trails & not race, XR suits just fine.

If you can handle the weight of yr TDM, whats a XR?

Right? No?

it's different game.. on TDM, i know my limits and control,

even for trails... heavier bike will be more tiring.. especially after numerous falls, stuck in mud, sand, ruts..and did i mention kick start on 400cc (XR4, WR4) is really a pain.

Try poking a M6 screw into your tyre then see need to remove tyre or not.

wah lao.. if those with plate number starting with "A" means they're also BC? o_O

kick start = no batt = less electrical = lighter(maybe)

but then, its the only high & down side of it...

@ hamster:

flat tyre need to remove the entire wheel...?

well, its good to be mechanically sound when encountering such situations.

only hindering thing would be, no proper tools/spares to counter it?

neway, every1's safely back & that's the main thing.. :thumb:

oya, & with Arthur's new rear tires, he can now go semi-offroad too!! \m/
