I guess my curious question is this jB: If you are getting such a good offer, why not close the deal now & cast it in stone? Why wait?

thanks kmax, its around the corner from my place. I've enquired already, they're willing to take in my fx plate Phantom W/OUT any of my accessories for 2.5k :thumb:

That's an insane price. I'd deal pronto if i'm you.

I have the best signature.

you can Replay that again..

+1. I think its a ridiculous price too. jB, close the deal before the potential buyer finds out that he can get much cheaper TA200 elsewhere.

1) I'm hesistating because I can't get a first hand bike yet I don't want my parents to be paying lots for it monthly.

2) I can get a cheap bike but they're quite old(coe / wear & tear)

3) army is coming :nono:

4) petrol pricing in SG & M'sia :nono:

Morale: weighing the pros and cons still :giddy:

with regards to 2) and kiamh's comment about cheaper ta200 elsewhere : I still stick with my "good things not cheap, cheap things not good" :p

Thats true to some extent, but sometimes "good enough at a cheaper price" will meet the needs sufficiently.

btw, the petrol situation is guaranteed to only get worse, so do your sums properly before upgrading, especially if its going to be a first hand class 2 bike (even more so if its a sportsbike)

I bet you're thanking Harley guys that your FC is good enough for class 2

a Revo OTR now costs 11,800 yet GohKm and ZellGlory pushed out their Fazer 6 for 14,000(machine price) I think.. Ponders ponders..

Yeah, 22km/l AFTER performance mods on a 1200 is more than I can ask for.

For new bikes, machine price is one thing. Think about the insurance & road tax. Comprehensive insurance is STRONGLY recommended (you never know what will happen)

Also think about opportunity cost. Whatever you spend on the bike can usually be spent on something else better (investments, life & wealth protection insurance, health insurance, pocket $ for parents etc.)

Of course, one should still prudently allow oneself some indulgance & self-pampering :p

REVO OTR for only S$11.8??? wow...

Don't commit to loans more than 3 years, the interest is just totally not worth it, especially so for your age when you are just starting on your career.

yea man, some super 4 vtec owners struggle to keep their Vtec 'unopened' to try hitting 22km/L

talk about insurance, I'm already thinking of TPFT for 2a bike and above. Can't believe m'sians even wanna steal a harley there o_O well, anything goes as long as its money I guess.

Right now I've got nothing much to invest or fool around with except to get a comfy bike that will keep me off public transport and from owning a car that my mum keep insisting me to. :thumb:

Yup don't think of getting 1st hand 2a bike also, because it just hurts the heart if something *touches own wood* happens

Seriously, strongly consider comprehensive insurance if you are getting a new 2 or 2A bike. At least you are covered for any mishaps. If your bike is stripped to the bones, you can't claim nuts for TPFT.

I take offence at this statement because I am a Malaysian. Are you suggesting all bike thieves are Malaysians & that there are no thefts in Singapore? You really should be more tactful with what you post. This is not the first time you have posted insensitive comments (remember my earlier PM to you about the escaped fugitive?)

Comprehensive is a lil way too much for me right now :nono:

Nope not being biased against our neighbours dude ;) I can't believe some S'poreans even steal fellow S'poreans' bike there :giddy: there was this couple on a super 4 (SG plate) trying to steal another SG bike at M'sia but sped away when they almost got caught or something. But then again, the SG bike could be stolen also in the first place :nono:

Bike thieves in SG steal 2b bikes like Nsr150 and Phantom(:slapforehead:) unless its big operations like the last reported 'big case' at sengkang or something :faint:

No offence meant,

I understand dude ;) and I hope you understand me too :D because us talking like this is better than keeping it all up our buttcrack and being hypocritical about it :cheeky:

anyway since you're riding a harley and many think phantoms and harley can't do wheelies, here's a clip for amusement from a friend :thumb:

I disagree with this comment. There is absolutely no basis to make such a generalization. Nonetheless, you are free to make your own opinion. An 'IMHO' would go a long way in diplomacy.

I have seen YouTube clips where GoldWings, Valks, Electra's & Rocket III's do wheelies. Can't be surprised anymore

Alright I was joking about the phantom bike  anyway its kinda true to a certain extent about the NSR, because its one of the top few reported case of stolen bikes in the 2b category on the net and offline. :faint:

You've seen a phantom fly, a harley fly, ever seen a donkey fly? :p

anyway I posted a 'magic school bus' flying also

If only our buses were like this when we have to go Public.
