Hi dudes ...

I wonder why i find it difficult to start my bike when de engine is hot. But in the morning, when the engine is cold, its easy to start. Any ideas??

I find it funny. Usually ppl face this problem when their bike is cold but mine is the other way round. I hafta hold on to the throttle and den it can start. But wen it cold, its easy to start ...

are you using OWS sparkplugs..? they need some throttle when start hot..

i using denso iridium also same leh.. maybe need a few times. 3 - 4 times cannot start i hold throttle liao. morning confirm no problem.. 1 time sure up!

it's normal, and it's especially the case for the older bikes like spec 1 or spec 2, unless you still could not start the engine after 2 to 3 tries... if not, your engine is fine and there's nothing wrong with the spark plugs (i checked with a lot of mechanics before).

 

i figured it out that it got to do with how honda designed their engine to allow cold start... i even have friends riding spec 3 experiencing the same thing, and i believe some of us here experience the same thing too... so dun worry! =)

it is normal. just turn the throttle slightly and start.

in sg, sound fast look fast is enough. run fast fine fast die fast.

mine too..no worries...its perfectly normal...

2005-2006 : Yamaha RXZ 135

2006-2010 : Honda Super 4 Spec I

2010-2012 : Honda VFR 800 5th Gen

2012-current : SYM MaxSym 400i

those with auto choke should not have any problem when bike is cold.

 

when bike it warmed up, just throttle a bit when pressing the start button.

Hey TS, i am riding spec III, new bike, and i am experiencing similar stuffs. Hot start is more difficult than cold.

May 2005 - July 2007: Honda Phantom TA200 (FU 3*** S)

July 2007 - Dec 2016: Honda CB400 Spec III (FBB 7***X)

Dec 2016 - Aug 2017: Yamaha FZ1N (FBD 4***E)

Aug 2017 - Present: Kawasaki Z1000SX (FBF 6***B)

my spec1 also same prob.. morning jus one press start le.. if hot then need to throttle to start... use to it le...

Juz changed to OWS plugs.Changed EO and K&N filter. Still need to throttle in the morning. But no problem when engine is hot. Batt also jus checked, no problem..

my ver S is like tat, my fren's spec 2 oso like tat... my old denso iridium oso like tat, my new OWS iridium oso like tat.. so its normal i guess..

i oso have same problem..spec 2...but no big deal leh..btw..using normal spark plug...not sure abt brand though...but not iridium one..
