i see all the MY rider rider super fast, but do u all have the problem of front end wobbler?

like the feeling front very light..

i have 3 box setup, when i hit about 150 my front will start to wobbler..

so wondering those MY rider with 2 side box do they have this problem?

or how do they solve this problem? do u all use steering damper?

i am considering steering damper, dunno is there a need to install 1

From my humble experience wrt casual factors that can cause frt end unstable:

1. tire pressure

2. suspension preload

3. tire balancing

4. ride with just the side panniers, it should be more stable

5. ride with a pillion with 3 boxes, it should be more stable

Aero Dynamics of the air flow over rider without a pillion and with 3 boxes will cause the frt to be unstable bcos of turbulence/unstable air flowing between rider and the top box.

By installing a steering damper will definitely help bike stability at high speed but the give away is steering feel at low is not that good lor.

As i said, these are my humble experience and i may be wrong as there are others out there that may think otherwise.

The best is ride within your comfort and safe limits of the rider & machine.

mine will wobble if i hit like 140 - 160... but just for awhile, can't ride that speed for long in Sg road. =P

do u have box setup too?

140~160 wobble is with wat setup? 2 or 3 box with or w/o pillion :)

suspension i done liao, pressure checked

with 3 full load box wobble @ >140

1 top box @ >150~160

I dun have a pillion btw.

so was tinking to install a damper, den when on NSHW i set higher damping

normal riding i dun set so high.

My setup only one HB box behind and Scorpion exhaust. i believe is due to the exhaust. but i anything one la..never care so much.. hehz

BEN... from your earlier post understand that you have lower your rear suspension and i am assuming that u have also lowered your frt by sliding up the fork tube to the max when u said suspension sorted out liao.

Anyway the org frt preload setting at 7 turn out fr max preload is too much and i have lowered my frt preload... it feels much better.... less harsh more compliant/stable on most road surfaces.

Just finish my first tankful of juice and am getting 20.7 per litre over mixture of expressway/city roads with stop & go traffic in sg.

erm 20.7 actually not very good i believe can get better :D

but of coz depend on ur riding style :) i am a hard rider too i always go hard on the throttle

i had readjust my preload but i dunno wats the current setup as its done by shop..

and actually i didn't lower my front fork yet, was tinking if i lower wats the point of having a dual sport bike den a road bike..

my friend said that to me too i was like, NB ya lor, i wan a diff bike thats why get this bike if not jus stick to S4 a lower road bike -_-

so was tinking to compensate by adding damper lor..

mayb give me a year or more den might fix back the stock shock to go back to original height.

By only changing rear height(lower suspension) the bike geometry have also change.

This change in the bike Geometry will affect the bike handling, steering angle ,stability... etc.

Taking into consideration that u are not sure abt what setting was done to the frt end only u know if the handling have improve or not lor as compare to org.
