The only differences and feedback I heard of regarding the versys manufactured in Thailand were comments about how some of the cosmetic parts - essentially the plastic rear hugger - were reported of lesser quality.

But maybe there are other differences although I don't think it would go near the essential parts (engine, forks etc..) but probably will be for simple items they can source locally for cheaper cost maybe?

Noted and thanks ...

Didnt have much of a chance to examine it in detail as it was parked between a few bikes .. but for what its worth, it looked good ...

Wow...throughout my entire sale process, the support I got from fellow Versysian is incredible. I guess the hard part is not to leave the bike, but leaving the lifestyle will riding and sharing with the kickass folks! Special thanks to Sn3ll, O'Ren, Swoosh, Rex, Fusionjaz, SilverBullet, B-E-N...all that had value added my ownership with my Versys, be it meetups, knowledge sharing or just upping me! It's not the quantity of vehicle owner, but the quality that matters!

This Saturday will be official handover date at Sin Ming in the morning, anyone who sibe eng can drop by to meet us also power! Super early at 8am then done liao we go la kopi. Anybody game? New owner is a passionate bike enthusiast. Really happy the bike is in good hands. Cya Dickchingus!

Is it possible for us to change the title of this thread to make it an official versys or kawasaki naked bike group?

Yes I think it is possible, if we contact a moderator or admin it should be doable. About time too :cheeky:

At koh samui now.

With the V?

Day trip to MY sounds good! But after this Sat, I got the weekends to burn time but not a bike to burn roads anymore! The irony...

Hi guys, I got a problem with my O2 sensor according to the FI fault code. I believe there is a Kawasaki workshop in JB, anyone can pass me the address? Really appreciate it, I got a trip to Trengganu next month and need to get this resolved by then.

Welcome to the club bro! You're gonna love the bike...

I recently went on a day trip up north to ride around the trunk roads. The V performed admirably...I'm even more impressed with bike after the trip. :D

Hi guys,

Been considering quite a number of adventure touring bikes for Class 2 such as the DL 650/1000, Versys 650/1000, BMW F650/800GS, Triump Tiger 800/1200 XC.

Though, out of the above, the Versys 650 2012 would be the most suitable for my budget and likes. Really love the way how it looks!

Oh, just one thing to ask, does the Versys comes with OEM gear indicator?

As far as I know the 650 does not come with gear indicator but the 1000 does.

GI Pro DS right?

Hmm, disliked the fact that we gotta fork out for the gear indicator!

Oh, this baby runs on 2 spark plugs right? What would the EO capacity be? Say bout 2.2l?

Rawr! Found out that the Versys do not have temperature sensor too! Now I'm finding the Vstrom to be more appealing on that respect but I'm in love with the underbelly exhaust and side mounted suspension!

The engine oil capacity with oil filter replace is 1.9L

Awesome! So 2 quartz of oil should be enough!

Why is the gear indicator so important? I never had a big bike before so max gears I've ever had to shift is 5. But I thought the gear indicator was just a gadget probably more useful to very new riders and that experienced riders could keep track of their gears.

Or is it that it's less easy on a big bike to do so?

Equally the temperature indicator should be only useful in case you need to troubleshoot an issue, right? Or does the Versys have heating up symptoms if riding in traffic jams for example?

@Fusionjaz: photos photos photos!! :D
