Buy those car meter brackets at car access shops. u can fix it on yr headlight which has a screw-hole on top, u can link e bracket to it, den e meter into e bracket. its much neater, nicer den jus fixing e meter on.

this time round its slightly different...

its not about wad is its use and where to installed or wad...

i already installed and is using for a while...

just a question to the fellow s4 riders using the voltmeter also...

does the voltage drop back after u stop revving?

i on my bike and its about 12+V den start engine it climbs up to 13+V den i rev abit it stays at about 14V. after that i on the headlights it drop back to 12+V

rev abit go up to 13+14

let go throttle drop back to 12+v again

is this normal?~!?~!?~

ITS DISTURBING ME!!!!! :cheeky: :nono:

bro its normal. im using 1 too.

headlight takes up alot of power so when headlight off, is above 12, close to 13V when headlight headlight on, volt drops to ard 12.

when rev it goes up to 14.4v which is normal.

if ur batt weak or rectifier gone already, the voltage will neva hit 14.4v.

if batt gone, when have even start bike the voltage should be ard 10v neva over 12v.

voltmeter is for us to monitor when the battery is weak or rectifier gone. if u rev it neva go up to 14.4v rectifier gone already

Full charge of batt is about 12.8-13v

When u rev the bike, the coils or dont know wat spin and making AC and change to DC throught the rect and charge ur batt, that y u see an increase in voltage when u rev the bike. Output from rect, is about 14v or so.

this is what i get on my spec 3

the voltmeter is connected from the headlight.

when u start bike, the immediate reading will be ard 11.6 to 11.8v

when i let it idle / warm up it will climb to 14v

when it is moving it will be at 13.2v

when at stop (traffic light) it is normal whenever u rev it will go up and down.
