Just want to change with u all.

One of my meter light cannot light up while the other one can (Spec II)

 

So if i were to change the bulb then it will be working again?

 

I went to planet and ask ah chong if can fix or not but he told me this cannot be fix unless i change the whole set of meter.

 

Anyone can clarify the matter?

okie, if u mess up with your meter, u might get water into it and will eventually damage it. the meter by default is a vacuum.

If only the T10 bulb inside is faulty, just change it will do. Why should the whole set of meter be changed when it's only a faulty bulb...

Bro, seriously wanna change? must take care of it else will spoil fast.. By then you cant see nothing as the whole dial is not transluscent..

Better to be safe then sorry... If get from M400 need to travel quite far to get from him right...? I think i go hardware shop find sua la... since just 2 bulbs only... And Bro Shinhwa, my model is Vtec2.. I'll get 2 blubs ready...

normal bulbs at hardware store costs how much? Seriously, M400's LED bulbs are definately worth the trouble..

why change whole meter? your needle still working right?

i dun think the meter is a vaccum.. else how the mechanics change meters? take vaccum cleaner to suck out all the air before covering it and screw the cover in?

alrite..for meter T10 rite, it's better tat u get a wide angle 1..coz it'll b able to shine the light wife & to the meter face..if u get the focus 1, it'll not b as bright..take note..coz i tried b4..haha

hopefully 1 of ur T10 bulb fused lah..if ur meter spoil den, hohoho!!

yes.. you just needa open it up and pull out the socket, then change the bulb..

 

shouldnt be needing any guidance, as it's quite easy to figure out.. if you happen to need any help, just join in the DIY!!

But this kind of wiring thing if dunno better dun kay kiang go do.. Later more trouble instead... I never open the meter before, the light on the meter just gone off suddenly..

How do we check if the meter light is faulty or the meter is faulty?

nwae just changed mine ytd.. its rather easy accept the opening of the back cover quite tricky cos if salah pry can break hakz...

 

a lot of buls in the market though, gt the stock ones 12v bulbs but diff colours from sim lim $1.50 each, got a whole range of T10 leds at autobacs (cheapest is $3) then not forgetting the ones by M400 so u make ur choice haha... anyone needs help? i'll be more than glad to do so... i guess a DIY session wld do justice ba... y not we mass order from M400 for the DIY session?

might as well make it tml.. since u fixing lights also. who wan to change just pop by very easy one ma.. safe way take out all 8 screws, lazy way take out 2 screws and force the covers out.
