As above and i dun mean as pillion k.

For me it is not abt the ego thing...just the safety aspect.

1. I have been involved in crashes and the thought of my loved one riding out there on the open rds scares me.

2. But having her own transport is convenient for her as she lives in a quite ulu place n her workplace is quite ulu also (although not far but no direct bus type of route).

3. Her mum doesnt allow her to ride (knowing of my crashes n all)

4. But the tot of her having a cute wave is quite cute :lovestruck:

Send me a sign, wanna leave it all behind

I'll be leaving the hands of doom...

Rearrange the master plan, take the future in my hands

To be free and not trapped anymore...

Jus pass and 1st few months of riding on the road

if possible ride together and let her pick up some technique of practical riding, im leading, she's following.

practice at nite (where there will be fewer road users) by going to the places that both of us frequent. taking note of possible road conditions.

After a few months

continue riding together if possible anytime anywhere.

When She Is Ready

own time own target.

continue riding together if possible anytime anywhere.

In my opinion, if ur gf is keen, help her along and ride together lorz....at de same time u can take care of her on de road also.....

If you also ride most of de time and pillon her as a passenger, what makes u think that she is any safer as your pillon den when she is riding on her own? Without making any reference to both your riding skills in particular; stats show already dat a pillon is much more vulnerable den a rider.....so I guess you can understand my meaning alreadi :cheeky:

agree...

but me did it the other way wif my ex....

when she was learning....

tried to explain to her the road suitations, conditions, wat to look out, etc

whenever me pillion her....

taught her stuffs like how to use a convex mirror, blind spot mirror, tell tail signs of cars abt to change lanes, etc.....

after she pass....

she lead me follow, ride ard her estate, ride in the day.....

there was even once when her father lead, she follow then me last man.... hee hee

me ride her bike, pillion her, tell her the diff bet her bike and the driving centre bike....

pillion her on her bike to let her feel the diff....

but anyway, my ex dun like to ride, she dun believe in riding 2 bikes, she does not dare to pillion....

just my experience...

Life is too short to be complianing............

my gf as my pillion: she is very observant one. she like know my next move

neway when i pillion her, i ride very cautiously. when i ride alone, diff story lah. so my qn is will she have the same attitude when riding on her own? if yes :faint:

I cant be forever leading her or follow her from behind on my bike. n learning form my experiences wont help much unless u counter it yourself...dun u all think so?

dun get me wrong, i like the idea of riding together...machiam like bodyguard :lovestruck:

and one more thing to add...would your mothers approve if your gf rides? (the social stigma)

Quite true lah....can't always take care of her....

Actually it's really up to your gf....it takes guts to ride...especially in heavy traffic....does she want to face that? Or does she prefer being a pillon..

Admit that there's still a bit of stigma surrounding lady riders....but if you are ok wif ur gf being a biker, den i shld tink dat your parents' opinions shld not deter u frm seeing her....coz she's not their gf but yours...altho yupz, she is a future daughter-in-law....

I should tink dat she shld face more objections frm her parents bah den yours :giddy:

well for me .. if my girlfriend wants to ride let her be . its her decision , its her life . I will only give her comments and guidelines . and also tells her the danger of it . So all are up to her ... perhaps sometime she can pollion me ? muahaahx !

muahahahahaahahahaha..

ok my view is, if I allow my bf to ride, so naturally, he should not object to me on a bike too.

it's a 2-way street.

Bfs claimed to be worried if Gfs ride, but won't Gfs feel uneasy about the dangers which Bf is exposed to as a rider too?

erm .. i kinda think the question is abit funny ...

is there something that's like you can allow or disallow your other part to do one meh ... ??

something that's like everyday thingy which's just ridding a bike ... ???

well ... wondering if those who voted "no" would be those who'll like drop their Gfs if they ever suggest that they wanna go learn and ride a bike on her own ... ???

Of course I would allow my GFs to ride, but some of them prefer cars.
