One way or another carbon deposits will still build up. Tearing down the engine to clean it manually is the only way to make sure it's totally free of deposits.

Just do it in a regular interval to keep things in check... So it doesnt build up to a thick layer.

Especially in two strokes this can be quite servere and compression can rise this way to make the engine run hotter.

paiseh im noob at this, but can i ask whats the difference when you rev high with gear engaged and without engaging gear?

would revving high without engaging gear achieve the same clearing carbon effect?

cos at motortiams i see some people keep revving their bike over and over again without engaging gear.. then u can see bits of small black **** on you if you are standing behind. is that clearing carbon also?

revving w/o gear engaged i.e. not under load, will not clear carbon as effectively as riding it at speed with high revs.

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Clear carbon..Basically for those who up mainjet and rides slow to save fuel during city rides need them. Like me i always ride up to KL,melaka or batu pahat.Abit of touring plus clear carbon.

I got a new great find to share with bros here... This applies to two strokes only.

Each time you refill 2t, use marine 2t every other time or when u wana clean the inside.

Marine 2t has high cleaning effects probably due to the reason that they dont want those outboard engines to put out those dirty stuff into aquatic environments. That's why marine 2t has very high cleaning properties...

BUT i think motorcycle 2t has better protection qualities and additives tailored to its application. So what i do is use it every other top up... And i use only half a bottle each time and dont rev my balls off...

Perhaps to eliminate carbon caused by uncombusted fuel, which basically means ur carb/ injector is pumpin in more fuel than can be burnt off, why not tune it such that it is lean or just nice? You save petrol, and save the hassle of 'clearing carbon'.

Just a thought...
