Many brand for u to choose, just choose those big brands and u won go wrong... Like Motul, Maxima, LiquidMoly, Elf and more...

Personally I am using Elf 10w40 from JB... I mostly service at JB coz labour is cheaper there...

For new bike its better to use mineral to run in first, later one just use 10w40 oil as its the recommend viscosity for our bike....

Only if u do long distance travel most of the time den can try 10w50 oils as they are much thicker so can endure higher temperature but it will affect ur pick up and fc abit...

Every bike is different so just keep trying diff brand of EO until u find the one that is best value for u, last longest and feel smooth-est, haha

I am using carlube engine oil , full sync at $9.90 at ntuc

So far ok. No issue

Haha I'm a noob too. Used a $12-14 semi-synthetic engine.oil (Honda brand or something ??) Think it was 15w40 also.

Now been using fully-synthetic Motul 7100 20w50. Pricier , but worth the riding experience

Very smooth gear change, good to go from coldstart in thw morning(previous semi-synthetic needed some time to get amooth)

Worth a try for fully synthetic engine oils like Motul

If you're willing to part with a bit more monthly, it's good. Changed my riding experience haha

No point using motul, it's over priced and over specs

Hi to all CBF150 riders! Just got the bike and all I can say that the engine is super-quiet! Still getting used to the bike.

I read through some of the posts in this thread and found out that some of us here want the manual in digital form. I've managed to find it online in the English format and posted the link below. It's around 180MB and is a full manual (400+ pages).

Cheers!

yeah, change plug and air filter every 5000km and engine oil every 2 months or 15000 to 2000km will be gd enough.

if you are riding with box, install additional box brake light or LED brake lite if your box does not comes with stop light for additional safety.

take gd care of your battery as our bike no kick start....

finally will be the most impt items, your brakes and tyres

was searching for maintenace guide and saw this post.

so it will be

5000km for spark plug and air filter

2000km for engine oil

brakes and tyres - self check regularly

btw, how do i know when to change the battery ? any advise on how to take care of the battery ?

anyone has any update on the air filter price ?

For me actually I would prefer the EO change interval to be max 1500km as ours is air cool and without oil filter so play safe would be gd... Plug and filter's range is alright..

Battery wise its best to install a voltmeter to monitor but for normal use, once in the morning u try to start ur bike and u feel it takes longer crank to start the bike (or e crank feels weak) den its an indication to change to new battery SOON...

The best way to take care of e battery i feel is to ride everyday, get it charge everyday will make it last longer unless u get a dedicated batt charger...

Air filter cost from $6 to $10 at LAB Kelantan lane, depends on ur bargaining skills

thanks for your advise bro ahkao, think i will keep the current clutch plate first, recently spend abit more time to warm the engine and the gears are smoother and stable now.

thanks for the advise, sorry kinda noob, just start riding recently, bike is 5 months old.

when u said bleed do you mean change the break fluid ? i asked the mech during last service, he told me need to season the break but initially was working fine. ._.

how much will the break pad and bleeding cost ? is it easy to DIY ?

Hi

Bought my CBF 150 ten days ago. It's a two yr old bike with a very low mileage and in great condition.

What I like about it is that it can go up Sheare's Bridge on fifth fear.

Feel that the pick up is slow and I get a bit kancheong at traffic lights.

Maybe I am just not familiar.

I enjoy the friendly, helpful posts here and wish to thank the bros!! :thumb:

I am going to DIY a chain oiler. I'll try using two aquarium flow valves like on you tube.

Hope to share the story. (if successful)

Best regards to all Fighthawkers.
