Just wondering..

Hav you guys ever squeeze in traffic during jams/red light and accidentally knocked onto car's side mirror before?

Ha, how did you guys deal with the situation?

First thing, try to avoid squeezing between vehicles if the clearance is not good.

Second thing, if it happens the only way is to be apologetic to the guy and hope that he is a nice guy and don't make you pay for the damages , if any.

Sometimes it happens to me but rarely, I pause for a moment and wave to the driver in an apologtic way and hope that he forgives. There nothing much to you can do in a situation where you are wrong.

Hope you met a nice guy in your situation.

LOL... NICE...

but i dun dare la.. Lol..

showing the middle finger will only seal your fate. The driver of the car can take down your number and lodge a complaint. Mind you it is a chargable offence.

Generally, there will be minimal damage. Unless the driver want to make an issue.

A few months back when I was sqeezing through traffic, my side boxes scrapped the rear bumper of a car. We stopped on the road side to access the damage and realise that it was a superficial stain caused by my box. I offered to polish off the stain for him but he said that he will try himself.

As a goodwill gesture, I gave him my name card and he gave me his. We realised that we worked in the same building. Then he said forget it as it was only minor.

In my situation. Cars in front already stopped waiting for the red light to change. I squeezed at 20 to 30 km/h. I hit the 3rd car side mirror. It happened so fast, but I managed to see the side mirror went 90 deg and sprung back. How wonderful this technology is. I stopped and paddled back and said sorry profusely. Luckily the uncleish driver was not even angry. He told me to be careful. I'm more careful in general after that incident. It was my 2nd week riding my spanking new CBF150.

Tried the choke already? I usually turn the throttle just a little bit before I hit the start engine button. So far I never use the choke yet.

1. Thought of selling my crashbar

2. bike dropped sideways that same night

3. Checked and assessed damage

4. None taken other than a small scratch at the bar

5. Changed my mind about selling

full turn up when??? its been so long for tis man?

yah unfortunately most of our guys are busy with their own things to spare some time to meet up.

I guess my hopes of gathering and sharing some tips about shops and also gaining some mutual benefits from each other's experience is far fetched

Hi All,

Am new to this thread but am interested in learning more on this bike. Riding for about 7 months clocking in 15500 km already. As the title suggest, issit worth it to have a 1st party insurance coverage for a first hand CBF150 ( Or any other class 2b Bike) bought with cash? Just got involved in an accident a month ago where a Army 5 Tonner hit me from behind while waiting to turn right at a cross junction ( Bike and rider was underneath it already, its a miracle that both myself and the bike survive :)). Thought wanna claim insurance , but since its my fault as was cutting in from the left and no use fight against SAF , in the end had to pay for the damages( Exhaust pipe replacement, coverset, handlebar side mirrors) myself.Currently on 3rd Party Fire and theft with AXA

Myself using 3rd party like you. No offence but I think our bike are not worth to invest on 1st party.

Average value of our bike is about $5K. It would be advisable if we were riding a bigger bike or some small expensive bike.

Moreover, ride safe, don't take unnecessary chances, overtaking from the left has never been a good idea in ANY circumstances. The odds are not good for the situation, just back off for a few seconds until, its better than make the move.

Had a small accident myself in JB with a SG biker, where my tank, front signal, left head cowling and front mudguard had to be replaced. All courtesy of the biker who hit me from behind.
