That will be me =)

Wanted to sell it off at first because I wasn't quite used to the new look with the crashbar on but after a few "incidences" I thought I'd rather not.

I believe he quoted you somewhere to the tune of $280?

There is this one shop in serangoon.. somewhere opposite bike production along that stretch..

I once ask the fellow how much he charge for crash bar.. he quote me $80.. not sure $80 a pair or a side... Not sure what is the shop name tho... they sell helmet and got a small workshop behind...

Anyway i initially wanted to put crash bar.. but after hearing some comments from others.. some say its not advisable.. cause Crash bar is designed to protect the engine.. but if the bike falls on its side with hard impact, might damage the bike frame...

Then they say, engine can change, but bike frame cannot change...

so yeah...

but im sure if adds on to your safety la..=D

From personal experience, the crash bar only serves it purpose when you fall. I had a pair of Givi E21 side boxes installed instead.

2 yrs back when I was hit from behind and was dragged forward, the side boxes acted like a crash bar and took most of the damage, there was minimal damage to the bike. To me installing the side boxes is more practical as it serves 2 purposes, storage and protection both when you fall or even when you squeeze through traffic.

Guys, just to share this info with you. After my 3rd oil change, i am still running in and riding below 80km/h. My mileage is 1200 km. Planning to change into synthetic around 2000km.

Fuel consumption for this bike is impressive. Both highway and normal roads riding with 80km/h max gave me 53km per litre. Travelled 425km with 7.96 litres of petrol. I am using vpower with esso 20-40W oil.

Fellow riders, where i can get iridium spark plug? i am intending to change into iridium plug soon.

Hi bro

Come and join me to equipment extreme at 4001 depot rd. I will be there at 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Thanks for the intro to the shop, nice guys, finally found a place to change my favourite EO.

After the change, felt like there were 2 more "horses" added to the engine, sorry didn't wait for you till the end of the expressway , the power was too tempting.

Anyway glad to have met up with you. See you soon, let us know of the feeling after the additional stuff you added.

Guys.. couple of sad news...

Most pple on the west wld know today morning it rained heavily... I was really reluctant to take MRT to school.. so i end up ridding to school when the rain wasn't that heavy...

Along Clementi Road.. was SUPER congested... cars are practically stagent..

From afar, i guess 1km away or so... can hear ambulence siren screaming... anyway i got a habit of line splitting in congested roads.. so i caught up with the ambulence... Quite sad la.. i mean, the patient inside is stuck in a jam... I think its quite discouraging for the patient to know that the ambulence is not moving... Hopefully he/she is fine...

Then somewhere around mid day... i received an sms from my friend.. saying one of her friend died today... bike accident... sighs.. hear this kinda story, my heart totally sank... :( My friend was so upset la... Young chap.

Actually i quite disapprove those young p-plate garang riders on sports bike la.. i got an impression that they are reckless... (thats why im on a humble CBF :cheeky:) Sighs. RIP dude...

And 1 more lesson to be learned... today i put on raincoat.. tot the rain will be stopping soon so i din put on the pants of the raincoat... bloody hell.. when i reach campus, my pants totally drenched... Lol... Half dry half wet.. Lesson learned. Anyway... i think when it rains.. its not worth the danger to ride la... think next time i'll pay $3 for transport fare rather then lose my life or injure myself on the road... Shall listen to my mum next time..

Smth has to be done at clementi road.. always so congested.. when i say smth, i seriously dont mean adding ERPs... :faint:

Cheers bros, do ride safely and turn ur heads like an owl to check all angles...

you're right, every morning i travel along Clementi ave 6 to drop my mum off and the road is just as bad. For me, I believe in the guy up there, when its time to go, its time to go.

There nothing or no one can stop it. Like you said Ride Safe thats all we can do and hope that today it not the day that the guy up there has assigned to end our contract on this earth.
