Hi just got my R6 recently. Need some advise, i'd like to change my exhaust to a better sounding one with added HP. Any recomendations? Is it legal? If not then during inspection must change back or the workshop have their ways?

All the aftermarket exhaust acutally add Hp to the bike. Nowadays now of the aftermarket exhaust is street legal as long as you dun remove the sliencer. I will rec akra , micro , leo vince .

Agree with R46. The cans are street legal but if you go with the entire system, you might run afoul of the LTA. I just bought a Giannelli system. Try this site:

Bro... how much u bought the Giannelli full system and from where?

Anyway, I checked out the webbie u gave and they claim that with the full system bhp is up to 122... Sure or not???

Arrow is one of the cheapest and its louder then akra.

 

I and Fruitcake use akra, more deep tone, but ex.

 

Arrow is louder but sharper sound, cheap

 

Micron is very sharp. cheap

 

ALL HP is about the same.

I bought just the can, not the full system. I guess my last thread was a bit confusing. The cost of the can is $850, available in Titanium or Carbon Fiber. Motivation Accessory is the agent but any shop can install it. Motivation can be contacted through the SBF. Unity Motor at Bukit Merah Industrial Estate is doing the installation for me.

 

It's an Italian brand, so it's a bit pricey, like Ducati motorcycles. But I think the quality is good. For the HP increase, I think 3% is about all you will get with any can.

 

If you want the full system with manifold and headers, you are looking at about $1500 - wow!

Thank you all for your valuable feedback but $850 for just end can too ex for me liao since i just dump all into the bike. Need to save up first or try find a 2nd hand. Anyone selling? Anyway, do u guys like test out the bike across the tuas highway? I wanna try out the bike but heard it's very dangerous if go alone. They can just knock you off your bike and rob you.

 

One more thing, should i use semi or fully synthetic engine oil for my 02 R6?
