Erm i came across something, there will be 2 versions of the R6, the updated one just R6 and another version, an R6S which maintains the look of the 03-05 look.

Guys go look at the yamaha website, they removed the new r6 from the webby.

Maybe it will be presented to the public in a big bike show or wat.

i think the price will be somewhat the same......coz they can't jack it up too high or no one will buy it......

guess the 2 different models will cost different as well.....most prob one is considered the road version the other the track version ba......like fz6 and fz6s....

Anybody here knows how to protect the exhaust headers from corroding, its not yet badly rusted but it looks tarnished, was told to use a high temp seal spray. Hmmm teepeephoebe some help here, wanna do this together.

Tried cleaning out dirt and what not stuck inbetween the radiator with an air compressor, so far no distortion to the fins, the settings can be tweaked a bit if need be. Was a bit surprised by the amount of muck that came out courtesy of the previous weeks mersing trip. How do u guys clean, by suction as in vacuum, take out the whole damn thing or air pressure.

Sometimes it does worries me.

Heard about the spray thingy b4.

But i think i will need to worry about it later cos i just change my exhaust.

wow ashraff, maybe I should try that, 2 yrs and I haven't bothered to clean the radiator fins. Mine's pretty abused from NSHW riding and I just slapped on a mesh grill courtesy of kinwei after digging out a couple of beetle and bees that put a significant dent in the fins. Have been neglecting it since. My temps seem pretty in control after swopping out the stock coolant for high performance glycol free coolant, so I'm not too worried about the rad other than a puncture from road debris, hence the mesh.

 

As for the headers, I really don't notice much corrosion on mine, they're stainless steel after all. I do get a thick coat of hard baked dust, but I just leave it alone. Yamaha headers are quite high quality, I notice rust on the G6's supposedly stainless headers.
