oh ya, how do ya guys go around setting ya fork and suspension?? i saw the recommended setting given by the http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/146_suspension_settings/index10.html, did anyone try it?

 

i also saw tis article posted on R6MN, http://www.gostar-racing.com/information/motorcycle_suspension_set-up.htm tat teaches ya how to set ya suspension from scratches. but it seems difficult to lift the bike up to measure the unloaded length of the rear suspension.

 

b4 all else.. u have to get ur static sag right.. and tat means adjustin ur preload..

hey guys, other than basic wear and tear, eo, oil filter and plug change for ya bikes, wat do ya guys for for maintenance if ya track like twice a month?

 

twice a mth... get ready $$$ for tire change as thats the highest killer cost..

Is there anyone experience when riding suddenly the Engine trouble warning light turn on for about 4 sec and went off. Then after a few days later, seems back to normal.

it is normal....due to the dun know what oil pessure pump or somethin like that....

anyway, i jus came back from sitting on mOi bike.. the bike only dips a little when i'm on it.. thou 1 of the websites i posted stated tat a 30 - 40mm sag wud be optimal.. i dun think i'm getting anywhere near tat.. grrrr..

 

i think i'll jus leave it as it is..

 

btw, how do ya guys monitor or get the feedback of the suspension when ya ride??

 

i try that too...so stiff the bike till it dun seem to turn....haha...maybe it dont suit our weight....

 

i tried it last year....very hard setting....it transfers all the chatter to the chassis. not recommended IMO

JK, me like MILF too. but till this day, havent found one yet....perhaps should send them my pinkie pic.

 

Eyz, as for suspensions, the OEM setup can only do so much. So, for the time being, u can adjust preload and play with compression and rebound. The day, u suddenly see your pocket got extra cash, then u can upgrade front internals or replace the whole front fork and also, replacement rear shock.

I did encounter this once in a while. Oil pressure might not be sufficient. But did only have 2.3~2.4lit of EO with filter change, oil marks in between 1/8 & 1/4 of the dipstick indicator. Topped up slightly a little to hit well abt 1/4~1/2 of the dipstick and problem solved. (Not overnight check)

as for the r6 06/07.....most common ones i came across was 2 solid rings(not the grooves, if grooves 3) front fork and 3(from lowest) out 9 for rear preload.

The heavy comsumtion is due to the power commander is it?

is depend on ur riding style usually for my R6 05 around 210-230 before it hit the reserve light.

yeah man, the r6 is fantastic for the track, just that track sessions here in sydney are too expensive to go that often
