I wonder if M4 have full system for 06 R6. Dunno if the sound will be as thunderous as 04 R1. :cheeky:

Thanks for all the inputs, guys. Now, to the most important part ... if my toes can even touch the ground on a high R6 ... :giddy:

Nto so exp. And i think the noise level will pass. Itr not very loud but it still not approved, even you drag till 16k. Compare to my lau k, my lau k is much lounder. and i dun know why????

the box underneath(containing the cat) is the primary muffler. The secondary muffler is the exhaust. the exhaust being the secondary muffler, does not muffle the sound much except for the packing. If you look through the stock exhaust, it is pretty much "through". In fact it IS though if you flip open the ex-up. Thus which ever s;ip on pipe you put on, the sound levels are pretty much the same, iof not only 2~3 dB louder. Removing the cat does not make it much louder, it only donates more unfriendly gases to our environment.

Want better sound n power? Full system is the way!! :cheer: :cheer:

How about this?

http://www.akrapovic-exhaust.com/main/cata...cts-catalog.htm

How come both stock & full system are still rated at 97 db? Izzit 'coz they didn't include cat for stock? Does it mean local stock R6 has a lower than 97 db pipe due to cat (unlike our overseas counterpart)?

Oso, seems like while full system boosts power, it kinda reduces torque at lower rpm between 3900-6100 (exactly wat we need in slow-moving traffic of SG).

Am I correct to say tis?

the akra full sys show much higher gain in bhp 7.3 vs 2.2

yesha full system ensures a much better exhaust follow thoughout especially at the power band.. which is at the high rpms. So the low end low rpms will suffer as there is not enough back pressure. That is why the litre bike shave the so called ex-up which is closed/partially open at the lower rpms to give a better power at the low ends, and opens up fully at the higher rpms.
