wow! tats good of u to install for me! but too bad i wont let an idiot to touch my bike....:cheeky: even install the correct tyre at the right place... but too bad i think u will screw in the wrong nut!

Hahahaha...

You definately got that right..Shouldn't let an idiot near or touch ur bike..

Its already mess up bad with the rider..hehehehe..

But i think its not the bike that has the wrong screw on,probably its the rider..

Anyway Kenshin..I will stop here..This Thread have better purpose rather than seein 2 Fella's(An idiot & a Moron) squablling like a small kid.

So have a nice day, enjoy ur ride & best of luck.

There will instant & long term effects..

Instant effects - will be the non-linear effect of the bike responds & power delivery.

Due to - The air fuel ratio is preset for stock exhaust,But if u have the O2 sensor probably some compensation will be done by the ecu.(some have the O2 sensor remove)

Unlinear - The mid-range to top end responds might be abrupt at certain Gears or RPM,This can be notice much clearer if in track when rider uses high RPM(between 8 - 14k).

For street usage with gradual throttle opening or w/o high RPM this set up will not be a major problem.

Long term(1yr or more) - Due to the aftermarket exhaust bigger or more free flowing exhaust tubes & silencer,More volumeric flow of exhaust fumes out of the chamber. This can cause the Exhaust valve to responds faster opening due to less back pressure. If there are any uncombust/unburn fuel that will exit out to the exhaust. With exhaust being hot & O2(oxygen) presences that's where back fire happens.Back fire can be good & bad(that one need another explaination)

- Ultimately in engine works,The Fuel intake valve & exhaust valve have to work at synchronize pace, with any distruption to any of them can cause major wear.

The R6 valve are made of Titanium(one of the hardest & lightest metal) but i have seen them snap or bend. This can cause piston chamber wall damage,con-rod,cam-shaft or piston itself to get damge,This leads to piston jam.

Thats why valve clearance are necessary, this is to have the valve shims measured. With proper shim thickness engine will give optimal function/responds.

I suggest having the bike install a proper engine/fuel management unit (Power Com/Bazzaz/Rapid bike..etc).

If use for street still can sustain for sometime..But if plan to use for long better to invest in them.

Regards.

I think its called Fast box or Fast 2 or something like that..

How good or great the electronics all depends on wat or how the rider wants to utilise it.

Leo Vince Fast box or 2(i think)

-Has 3 preset mapping from the vendor can be selected via switch, has the ability to be tune via PC thru its USB cable. But u need a qualified or a knowledgable tuner to use the function.

-Upgrades such as quickshifter(or Fast shift) is avail.

Power Commander 5

-Like the PC5 either u have it Map to a custom setting Or

-U can have the PC5 with Autotune piggy-bag whereby it will constantly analyzed the excess O2 on ur exhaust then it feedbacks to PC5 to do the correction.(good if ur constantly upgrading ur bike performance parts.)

-Upgrades Quick shifter & LCD unit to read PC5 interface.

Bazzaz

-Zfi,Standard unit for the bazzaz a plug & play unit(with all injector responce),but can be tune Via PC or Dyno center,But i'm not sure in singapore which dyno center can tune Bazzaz.

-Has also a standard unit equip with Traction Control Or Quick Shifter option.A usedful option for those utilizing bike for track.

-Z-afm its the self mapping unit works almost same like the PC5 autotune.

-Intergration of Quickshifter & Traction Control,TC adjuster.

Rapid bike

-Has 3 different management unit

-Easy(simple plug & play already preset mapping for street) optimise ur engine by controling the air/fuel ratio with the feedback of excess O2 & air temperature.

-Evo (slightly advance whereby its work like PC autotune & Bazzaz Z-afm,with all injection responce. This also has the ability to raise the RPM limiter & remove the speed limiter.A preset map can also be incorporated & changes can be done on the run while its analyzing ur current map.

-Race(A more advance programme with has the ability to adjust engine braking,Pit lane limiter, ignition timing control(the arching of plugs timing),all this can be set on the run by a switch.

-Has Quickshifter upgrades.

There are also brands like juice box or etc..

Basically all have its pro's & con's..

Boils down to the cost u want to invest & how u want to use it.

Cause too much gizmo if donno how to use also no point.(hehehe..i know i am guilty of that..hahahaha)

But definately with aftermarket upgrade(exhaust, race air filter, engine mods or etc..) these will definately be better than stock ECU.

Just some newbie questions,

Which shop provides decent workmanship for de-cat midpipe service and what's the price?

What's the necessary service needed to maintain a long run healthy machine? So far ive only heard valve clearance. Any other important service required ?

I am not sure where have the best workmanship..But my Question is,

Why wanna cut of the Catalyser off from ur stock headers?

If later wanna sell or inspection how?

Is that really a cheaper alternative compare to getting aftermarkets?

Probably will have some inprovement but it is more of the sound factor or u need that power?

Why not look around for 2nd hand aftermarkets..

In Singapore Loud exhaust carries a Summon,So does Modification of Exhaust..

Plus in future if decide to sell off, buyer are usually more aware of bike conditions & wat stated they want to buy,

So i suggest refrain from having this Cut of or removal of the catalyser..

Save up a bit more & get ur preferred brand Exhaust..

U also feel good & won have this feeling of guilty when our Brother In White(Mr Traffic Police) pass by..hehehe.

Why not Go around bikeshop & enquire too, maybe the mech has a diff perspective abt this..
