Hey Bros, I will be bringing my CG125 whitegold contact point engine type to a chinese shop behind Tampines Safra to scrap. Asked bike scrapyard and they say my bike not CDI type, no value:( Cheapest I found is $20 near Tuas. Too troublesome. So sad for my old steel.

 

Seems like uncle nice enough. $50 to scrap. Will ask again if I can take out everything.

Maybe put body and engine on trolley and push there or ride there push parts back. Haha.

 

Planning to recoup some costs through selling of spares. I try to set cheap price la. (For those who doon't know, I spent about $1.4k:D)

 

Stuff I think I can take out myself are:

-Mirrors (1yr old)

-Seat (1yr old, Adair interested)

-Airbox Side Covers (reserved for Lord Bear)

-Signal Lights (1yr old)

-Rear brake lights

-Rear Gantong (1yr old)

-Wheels + Tyres (front tyre less than 8000km, rear threads still good)

-Petrol Tank

-Rear sprocket (stock size, 1yr old)

-Old steel rear rack

-Handlebars- stock

-Handlebars- straight cafe racer:)

 

Things I need help to take out are:

-Engine side cover

-Mudguard

-Chain cover?

 

Anthing else u guys think might have value?"

-Front fork

-Speedometer (1yr old China replacement)

-Old stock Carb

-Exhaust broken inside, bike sounds louder than a S4 now. Haha

 

Is ur carb keihin? if it is im interested!

as well as the straight bars.

also regarding the IU unit. has any one place the unit under the seat? i have space under the seat but am curious if it will detect ?

Hey bros. I think my bike got problem. Everytime when the speed of my bike reaches 80, it will jerk twice. If i increase the speed abit got 'bunyi kacang' and rattling metal sound. I scared piston jam only. Is it time to overhaul?

everywhere. ahboy, united, chiong aik. almost every motor shop can get u speedo that works. unless your talking about swimming trunks.

hahahaha. Thanks though. I went many shops today. But found one nice speedo for $65. Just s simple small round one ($65). Rather than the big boxy ori one ($75). Or maybe i get the rxz one ($85). Down side of the small speedo is that it doesnt have signal/highbeam/neutral indicators. Im a new rider n i think these lights serve me a purpose. Still undecided yet.

Nah you don't need indicators. Highbeam you can see; signals you can hear; neutral you can feel.

if u want something cheap and works, im using the one from united at rowell. its only $20+. black/chrome ring. i only bought one, the speedo. they have it in a set, last i heard. its size is just nice i guess. not too big not to small. check it out before u blow $65 on one.

 

indicators are good to have i guess? neutral light at least. maybe u can go simlim ask them customise one with leds, provide them with ur stock indicator harness. label each socket with what it is.

Mine RXK recently have some weird problem..every 3 months..the battery jus fail on me...and it always happen every 3-4 months...would like to check if any of u guys experience this and how to solve? I have change the coil already..but still the same problem

Mine IU is the old 6V...still running on 6V battery.....every 3 months change battery..sian le..not sure what happen also

i use to have tat prob last time. I changed to a new IU unit and my bike is 6V. My mech told me the new IU was directly installed to my battery and its draining battery even the ignition is off. So what he did was connect the wiring of the IU to my ignition before running it back to the battery. So the IU unit will be on once I on my ignition. But in ur case, im not very sure. Have u consult ur mech on this?

Thks for yo response, I think everybody relax 1st. I better make a list of who wants what on my bike on a 1st come 1st serve basis before got any unhappiness.

 

Need to confirm with shop regarding scrapping. I dun even know if bike shop will coorperate by just taking body and engine. Maybe have to pay shop to help me strip the bike. Maybe I just scrap whole bike and save me the trouble.

 

Will take out the parts that are easy to remove la.

 

So people pay the peanuts to help cover the cost la.

 

Plus its not a bicycle, I not sure if I can take it apart! Wahaha;D
