This one I hope to discuss, got nothing to do with females and riding.

Question: Will you pack condoms for your b/f or hub in their luggage when they goes overseas for work assignments/travelling with the boys.

hmm isn't tat a kind of encouragement

My rationale is......at least I've done my part to not receive unwanted souvenirs from my spouse.

But thats just me. Whats the rest of you really think?

omg... how come got such thinking.....:sian:

3) what is the class 2 method to pick up bike? anyone can share? the other time while taking 2A, dropped s4 and dung noe how to pick up, use brute strength and it's not fun... :sian:

There is no man method or lady method. I believe there is only 1 method that we're taught to lift up the bike.

The key to lifting the bike easily is:

1. Your thigh is next to the fuel tank. Keep your body as close to the bike as possible

2. After that, throw your whole body weight to the right side

3. Voila! Your bike is lifted!

I realized that using this method... you can even lift a CB750 with full tank w/o much strength. I didn't even need to use much of my strength at all... :thumb:

Maybe you can try it on your own bike too!

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

And remember to grip the brakes so the wheels wont move around when it touches ground.

I remember someone posting a comment or thread that said "There is no such thing as a bad bike, just a bad rider".

I guess really crappy bikes like the Magic has proven his/her theory completely wrong.

Sh!tty bikes do exist. And ppl who say these type of things probably bought sh!tty bikes themselves and are trying to justify their bad purchase, bruised wallets, hurt pride, and crappy ride.

LOL. the learning centre teach us the method is good.. but the bikes we lift in there have crash bars.. so they are not flat on the ground.. hence very easy to lift cuz got clearance for ur thigh to go under the tank n lift.

u try 1 bike flat on the ground and lift.. i think will become a big challenge..

but seriously i have a small problem with learning centre.. my own personal opinion is that i feel the centre are not teaching what they are soppose to teach.. instead they are only teaching what they wanna to see..

example like the course E-Brake, with the speed of 30 on slightly wet condition, i think my bedridden grandmother can do it too.. cos on the real road we rider actually have to ride in the rain and having to brake in high speed(100KM), a slight mistake could cost you a week in ttsh..of worst, can go straight GUAN MING SUA

so my point here is that that are so many rider out there who die on the road on cte pie kje sle ecp aye during raining days and i seen so many rider die cos i am working on the road daily 9 to 6 and once there is a massive jam in highway, i just pray that its not a rider.. but it always WILL BE.

so my point is that, is the driving centre doing anything to stop ppl from dying? just look in wanbao every few day and u see he die, she die, they die, mostly p plate, who the Hel* pass him/her? can a narrow plank save his life? or a check blind spot save him?

i also have a problem with the blind spot teaching, its not totally correct with the real deal on the road.. anyway all this are just my humble opinion.. CHEERS

Question to you.

Is it the Driving Center's responsibility to SAVE our lives in the first place?

It is a school. Their mission is to equip you with the most fundamental skills and knowledge you need to ride on the road.

If, after passing the course, you decide to be a REMPIT, then there's nothing that they can do about it. Your life is in your own hands, and that's the way it should be.

We're free to cherish it, or throw it away.

I think it is.. if you do read the news, one year ago my fren pass his licence on fri and on sat he went to get his phantom and he DIE on his way home... do you know how sad his mum cried?

So you are saying that once the instuctors/testers think that he is good enough to be on the road and pass him. and after that if they DIE its not their PROBLEM?

BLAH BLAH BLAH .. we teach them, we judge them, WE PASS THEM and IT GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH US IF THEY DIE ON THE ROAD!! what kind of thinking is that?

Posted (edited)

i am always very sad when ever i see ppl die on the road (sporean), i will try to figure out why and how, issit their fault? could they do something at that spilt sec? i wish they could, cos it break my heart to see ppl dying and dying and DYING on the road... just please see news paper everyday and i confirm you see young rider die and die..

so they are all REMPIT? or are they missing some skill which is important? i am working as a courier since 1998 and have been on the road long enough.. i have to speed whether its RAINING, MASSIVE jAM and have to 160 everytime on highway.cos its my job , i cant choose. i have to learn many skill the dangerous ways, like to E BRAKE on thunderstorm with 130, how to jam brake till your rear trye float, how to control your bike when your clutch snap during highway. so i think i know how to judge...

i am not saying i am better, not at all, i just feel that the new learner are not equiped with the right skill to stay alive on the road , and no one is doing anything about it..

Speeding does not means dangerous,

Defensive does not mean safe!

Its what you see when you speed,

and what you do when you see!

i took less than five min and i found SOME of the news, please think, should i tell all their parents that no one cause your son to die.. they did themself.:sian:

Any death on the road is sad for some other ppl. Their family, friends, loved ones.

But it is not the fault of the driving centers.

Let me ask you this. We all go to school. Primary, Secondary, then tertiary education.... poly, university, etc.

If you and a good friend have attended the same school throughout, and after graduation he goes on to be the general manager, director, then Vice President of an MNC..... while you were not as successful as he.... or worse, CMI totally, and turn to a life of crime to make ends meet....

Will this then be the fault of your schools and the teachers that taught you all?

If he made it, and you didn't, whose fault is it?

Are you going to blame every failure on the ppl that taught you the basics? Is that a crutch?

If every rider that passes out of the driving center dies within a month on the roads, then YES, something is wrong with the driving centers and their education system.

But that isn't true, is it?

So whose fault is it?

I agree with that! It's the safety mindset that we must inculcate in order to desire to be a safe rider. This must come from within.

okay peace.. each ppl have a different opinion, i just feel that the driving centre are not upgrading themself, all the course have been in there for more than ten years, in the past , not many ppl can afford to buy car and biker rule the road but ten years later.. sti, evo, bmw,7sitter,diabo,lamo are getting more and more common but the school are still teaching slow speed defensive riding.. i don think they revise their method of teaching..

when my wife passed her licence, at her first day of riding, its was raining heavily on the pie and she was riding 100 on the first lane, going pass the white arrow again and again..after i scolded her, she still don understand, only after a serious fall at far east carpark then she understand.. she was lucky, but not ALL

i don blame the school for the death of reckless riding but bear in mind, not all p plate are reckless, there are some who DIE because they lack of some skill which is important to stay alive.. some learn it the easy way and some learn it the hard hard way and end up guan ming sua..

my final point is i hope there are some instuctor who happened to see this point can kindly feed back to the driving centre. they should train more on stability example driving on sandy road with half flat tyre, it will let the learner to understand the (REAL LIFE) condition. and taking the E Brake, i suggest they must make it a point that you must fishtail, cos only then they will understand the bike (lost control direction).

To: someone who die,

you can stop in time,

you can control it,

One day,

you cant stop in time,

you cant control it,

who is there to teach you?

who is there to help you?

do you know how to stop it when you cant?

do you know how to control when you lost it?

She was lucky.

And training centre does not teaches riding 100 on first lane while raining heavily. You probably need more refresher experiences at the training centres.

:cheeky: ya , i agree, she was lucky.. anyway i meant no offences to anyone or any learning centre..

i just don like to keep hearing p plate dying n dying,

i remember few years ago that was a news on newpaper that a p plate guy riding a sp and had a fatal accident with her gf pillion..

she ... die:cry:

and the rider went to her wake and kneel to her father asking for forgiveness.

i always remember this kind of mishaps cos its very saddening, the girl was only 17.

maybe.. just maybe, he could have prevent the accident if he had better control, better than what the school is teaching currently.

cheers,

and my respect to the goner.. you all are always in my little heart.

I was suddenly reminded of this incident last weekend.

Was a passenger in a porche going thru Desaru Malaysia and back to Singapore. Driver occassionally wanted to throw his walkie talkie into my lap of sorts, but didnt because its possible he remembered he got a passenger!

After a 2nd incident, I was shouting at him to just throw the walkie talkie to me lah!

And he say cannot, cos I am a female.

Wah lao eh.....machiam like I am some princess type!

No lah... It's not about you being a princess.

Maybe he's just concerned that you do not follow, or have poor radio comms procedures.

He was more afraid that you would speak like this into the talkie:

"Harro Harro, you boys. Make sure you cute rich ah sia kias with your fancy sportcars make the next exit to Xingjiapor hor, you shexy boyz you! Overz and the outz horkaaaaaay?"
