[A] How frequent to top up is depend on how much you on the regulator, mine's at number 4.. normally 1 top up can last for 15k or more.. chain is adequately lub..

if you going for highspeeds can reduce a bit cuz it works by vaccum, the higher the rev, the faster the flow.. i once on number 8, it emptied on me for only 150km on NSHW..

dun on too big, else rear tyre may get the oil, dangerous..

installation wise, better to let MW take care of it.. they had done quite a number of Scottoiler installations..

hope it helps..

my experience with scottoiler on NSH cruising is quite different. I find the chain inadequately lubed. I'm guessing that due to the chain moving too fast, there is a lot of flinging, compared to urban stop and go traffic where some oil could be deposited on the chain itself, allowing gravity to let it spread downwards into the o-rings or sides.

i've tried compensating by increasing the flow rate; the result was more flinging onto the tyres, although the chain does get lubed more. I've tried both the single and dual injectors. Now I'm resigned to manual lubing for long haul rides to thailand, unless scottoiler comes up with something that lubes well on extended highway riding.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

I take note of this. Must set to lower flow when doing expressway speeds. May i know where do they hide the reservoir?. Is it inside the left side panel, near the fuse box or is it somewhere else?. As for the injector,is it placed near the bottom of the rear sprocket?.

Went to mw just now and alamak no stock so put deposit. This things sells like "hot cakes",last week i see it,today,no stock......

they install in the compartment near the battery for me..

for the spocket needa grind out the chain guide(red arrow, the whole thing) in order for injector to drip on the rear spocket..

yep, i feel the same on mine.. especially rpm over 6/7k, lower rpm is just smooth, but only upon high rev, right foot-peg vibrates, (*i wore boots, not slippers though)

i'll stop my workshop next week and check the screws or footpeg itself.

just an update... checked with ah chong (planet) for foot peg vibration..

he showed me it's touching the frame at the lower leg of crashbar.

then he used hammer to smash on crashbar and said it's done... :p

well... havent test it yet but for such vibrations, check crash bar for engine and frame clearance...

My 1 yr plus old spec3 hiss lighted up when riding up slope when changing to higher gear and last abt 3 sec then disappear. While the hiss lighted up , the bike seems to be normal , engine wont cut or lag or slow down . It appear as normal, why ah? Did u all encounter this while changing gear at upslope. this upslope is at suntec going to benjamin sheares bridge [ECP toward changi de].

Another problem is tat my engine light also lighted up sometimes when changing clear at not so high slope too , not so steep slope as tat benjamin bridge. what happen.

Most important is tat those lighted up lights had no effect on the bike performance and behave as normal but i bei song only when see this light lighted up.

sad , nobody can answer my question. i change my engine oil without oil filter only 2 mth ago only. HAIZ, and btw EO will evaporate de ma even u 1 yr never change .

how many litre did you put in? high chances are EO not enough that's why ECL will on when you going up slope as the sensor do not sense any EO at that point of time..

try visiting a motordiam for advise or change EO with oil filter, 3.2L..
