What helmet to use?? n where to get? n how much??

Hi all,

 

Pretty new to this forum. Just registered for my bike course.

 

Jus wondering, what type of helmet is allowed when have practical lessons?

 

All types? or limited to half face or full face? Is a full face helmet allowed?

 

Also wanna know where is a good place for me to buy helmet n equipment?

 

Heard of an Ah Boy shop, but duno where it is.

 

And how much the range of helmet costs pls.

For learners, you HAVE to get a PSB approved helmet. That is, a blue sticker that reads "PSB approved" on the back,bottom of the helmet.

 

For practical lessons, there is no restriction on the type of helmet be it half-face,full face, flip up. However, as learners tend to go real slow and stop too often, full face will prove to be very hot. Its recommended that u buy a cheap half-face helmet, either first hand or 2nd hand.

 

For me, i bought a 2nd hand half-face helmet. A first hand half-face one can cost anything from 20-200.

Just go to kelantan lane(Lim Ah Boy Shop) & get a Nova helmet will do.. $40.. Cheap & Good..

Yupz, or buy 1 from the driving schools, they sell quite cheap. But not as cheap as LAB.

A helmet for u to take practicals i dun suggest u buy Nova @ $40..

 

Just go to Ah Boy shop and tell them u getting a helmet for taking practicals oni.. they will sell u their own "LAB" branding helmet @ ard $25

 

After u pass ur TP then get a better helmet..
