agreed with bro Hippo that it's workmanship is questionable,

it's unfortunate to meet such workshop..

do give our resident doctor a call, he might be able to offer alternative solution

Had send my bike to a wkshop in the west to have my clutch o-ring oil seal replaced as pointed out by fellow bros that there was oil leak during the last meetup.

While unscrewing all the nuts on the clutch cover, the mech managed to unscrew all 14 nuts but he broke 1 of the nut into half and the 2nd half of the screw is stuck inside...

Next while unscrewin the 2 screws on the front brake pump to flush & renew the brake fluid, he again broke 1 of the screw and again the screw is broken into half and is stuck inside.

I was damn dulan with the way they handle the bike, the boss claimed that its becoz alot of my screws are corroded and its not becoz their mechs are rough in handlin customer's bike...

So the solution they gave was to apply gum on the parts with missing screws he say if wanna send the engine & brake pump for re-thread must leave bike there overnite & cost is abt $90 for both items...

I'm wondering if i were to leave it as it is, will the gum that they have applied last anot? And do u guys tink that its fair for me to be the one payin the cost for re-thread or instead it shd be the wkshop that is responsible for the cok up of their staff

woo! so bad hand work! but by my experience, clutch cover screws should not easy broke, and brake screw also very strong, they use air wench but wrong direction, so broke the screws, i think.

don know the broke screws can take out or not? if can, just replace screws is ok, but if can not take out, and just put gum on clucth cover there, in future may leaking oil, but broken brake screw MUST take out and replace it, or only left 1 screw is dangerous.

any photo show me about this?

of couse not fair for u, but can u say no? maybe make things worse. they should pay u $ and ask u keep quiret, not ask u to pay more.

b4 i also experienced such thing, they lost my orginal screws, and take out almost all my v-power petrol twice, (send to shop the time is full tank), and charge me alot, only fairing fibergalss and painting cost $1k+ for twice, (first time is my friend borrow my bike got accident, $1k, 2nd time is a car hit my rear then my bike follow down, insurence pay me $2.2k, but bike shop charge me $1.5k, and b4 every time i send my bike to boon siew to service it, every time the bill is $200+, after all of this things, i do all bike things by myself, it's also fun for me, and save money.

i personally did not witness the mech usin air-gun wrench to open the nut/screw, but 1 thing for sure this bike shop got no experience on tourers or class 2 bikes at all, i see majority of the bikes comin to them are all drz, super4 & cub kiaz... i shall snap afew pics and show it to u once its ready.

A car reversed into my Deauville and it fell over on the left side. Front and left side fairing is cracked and some pieces chipped off. Left pannier cover is also scratched. Can anyone recommend a good workshop that will patch up the fairing and respray. Thanks.

You can go to this shop called Goldhill in 3007 Ubi Road 1

#01-458. But you need to remove the panniers and whatever you need to be fixed and sprayed yourself as they do not provide dismantling service.

Afew of us here have visited this shop which has good workmanship and quality after recommendations from our dr deauville.
