Always ensure that whenever you change both your tires, the mechanic concerned has to change the tire valve as well, irrespective of whether it is still usable or not. In this way, your tire valves will always be in good condition and you will ride in peace.

Thanks for the advice... I should get my change in the next tire change. The back one change recently and also change the valve to the L type for easy pumping of air.

You are most welcome Bro fishtan. At least glad to know that you are doing preventive measures. Do enjoy your ride without burden.

As most of us do not installed or change to the L type valve ( which I think is most practical as most petrol air pump are mainly for cars ). Usually we need to bend a bit of the rubberised tire valves so as to sit in well with the petrol air pump tube in order to get the right amount of air for our bikes' tires. In this way we may cause some damages to the valves which is unable to be detected with our naked eyes. So for safety measures, it is advisable to change the tires valve whenever we change our tires. Anyway is only my suggestion.

Just my 2 cents

haha, right, tire valve is a simple thing, but once it failer, really not easy to repair it when on touring way, L shape is easy to pump air, but may cause wheel balancing problem, so better balancing wheel also. do u think so?

Well when I change tire and the valve, they will balance it, so should be ok. So far so good for me with the L shape valve. I rem a shop told me before that the L shape valve spoil easy but hack, keep bending the straight shape valve will also damage it sooner or later.

I agree with the when you change tire, change the valve also, its only a few dollars, I think the L shape valve will last as long if not longer than the tire rite? haha :)

Anyway I think my front tire in another 2-3 months also need changing leow, anyone anywhere I can get cheap and good service tire? Last time I change at Planet Motor, cost me $150 for the Dunlop tire, I think its cheap leow cos HKL change me 2+ for 1 tire.

unique motorsports tyres are considered cheap too... certain brands & models is even cheaper than hkl
