I have the problem of a side wearing out in my BT014 (stock tyre). I thought it was due to the fact that I may be sitting bit sideways, (more towards the left side by default). I also thought it may also be due to the tyre running low on air

 

Did any one else have the similar issue??

 

I got my BT021 like 4mths back. And recently i had to replace my front wheel. Its totally worn out of proportion. Both the left and right side is fully worn to almost seeing that steel belt. But the center is nice and fine. Although knowing its a 2CT but i dun expect it to wear with such uneven rate mah. I'd rather go for pirelli or metzler at the moment.

I am planning to change my tyres. Thinking of going with the BT-016

http://mc.bridgestone.co.jp/en/products/battlax/bt016.html. They talk about the 5 compound technology. It seems that Unique motor sports have it in stock. They mentioned about $400.

 

Has any one used this tyres before?? How is the performance

 

yup. im using it now, since last yr...road performance...excellent., u need to use it to know it or feel it.... 5 layers 3 compounds...

track wise..soon to be tested......

 

i have used Michelin 2CT before, i have used pirelli diablo corsa, i have used all kinds of metzler before....

 

this BT-016 is a trial out for me. if it sucks, i would have turn to 2CT again... but surprisingly, it really surprised me. the hotter the tire gets, while connering u can REALLY feel the difference between 2CT.

 

Oh FYI gentlemen, i tested the limits of our stock tires. the front will be the 1st to give a way, coz i felt a slide during my last track session with the stock tires. n using the 2CT, i used it till it can no longer hold the air pressure. it kept leaking air. and now im using BT 016, a trial coz its a 5 layers and 3 compound for rear!!!

 

and its also up to u to choose. above are only my experiences with most of the tyres!!!

sometimes im thankful to stay in the north and work in the east. Highway riding all the way. combine that with fuel saving riding techniques gives me my 25.37km/l at 105km/h. up to you to believe. i did the calculations with Motofreak already, so i aint kidding and talking crap.

Just for info. Bridgestone tires tend to wear off at one side more than the other. Ask around and you will know. My stock has the same prob. So did my baby Vara in the past.
