thanx arzme...u mean it will vibrate alot..actually i am using the s4 mirrors thinking of changing it to the OEM..but if it vibrates a lot then no point man.....hehehe

Actually how u guys define vibrate? I have been changing side mirrors more than twice...

1st I changed from OEM to the "less expensive" carbon fiber look mirrors...

Then after riding for few months, both side of the mirrors will "fly w/o wing" while I was riding... Then bought a new set, less than 2 mths same thing happen again...

As I cant ride w/o mirrors, then I changed to "more expensive" set, and the set last quite long...

I changed the side mirrors mainly for 2 reasons: aesthetics cum safety.

What i observed on all mirrors that i used are pretty much the same, any speed above 70km/hr I cant read the no plate but still manage to see the cars behind... So i thought its normal, but normal to me may not be normal to u guys :cheeky:

Anyway just to give some poison:

I do intend to change mirror, but still looking for the "one". hehehe

As for me, I change to a long balancer which hides inside the handlebar, this does the job quite well. Will only vibrate the original mirrors at 90km/h (my meter la). I believe need some rubber damper to be installed at the mirror side to absorb the shocks.

To eliminate fully may not be possible. Was thinking of B-King mirrors hehehe.

Have YOU tried it???

oh yeah..faster recover aite!!! so can go for a short trip, hope u can overcome the phobia..

I did open up the mirror and placed plastercine behind the mirror at the lower portion. Helped. But not much. I end up replacing the mirror with those carbon lookalike mirrors used on sparks. Abt $18 at LAB. Vibrations got worsel, din have chance to open it up yet. :cheeky:

Yeah Dinie... I trusted you had great fun .... hope to join you'all again for more gathering and chitchatting and poisoning and trips rides...

Just to add my opinion on the rear mirror. I do not see any vibration to my mirrors even when travelling above 100km/h as oppose those who said that theirs vibrate

Anyway normally if I travel >100km/h ... I rather focus my attention on the straight road ahead of me instead of checking back ... but yah, I still do check the side mirrors once in a while.. like

Wow misbs bro... I salute you man... having the trouble to make sure you can see the no. plate of cars. Just envy that you have such a good eyesight. Mine eyesights already "rosak" (spoilt) ... hahaha... dun even able to read the plate no. in front of me either... hahaha ... signs of getting old liao.

Ok dokie... have a nice day ahead bros!

how did u do it.... open up the mirror?

yesterday i change to S4 mirror but didn't get to test the mirror on speed limit (90km/h) as the time i'm going back from work, it is peak hour thus the traffic is crawling and i didn't set the mirror angle properly. so have to ride slow due to safety concern.

from my prospect, it like how cyrix mention, 'fuzzy'. it vibrate until the reflection of the image becomes fuzzy. practically i have to close throttle for awhile to access the situation before cutting or lane change.

anyway, tht is a nice piece of mirror u link too. how much did u bought it? order locally or online? how the mirror function, still fuzzy at speed limit?

Oh ok dat "fuzzy" kind of appearance...

My current mirrors do show dat "fuzzy" appearance at high speed but not to the extend that I cant see at all, or cant differentiate between sedan cars or MPVs... :)

I bought it mid last year at Motoworld (Ubi)... cost between $70-$85...

function wise better a bit than previous one...

Luv it so much :thumb:

at high speed i understand but at least while travelling betw 80 to 100km/h the mirror should be stable.

i read in the suzuki gsr uk forum. alot of them also face the same mirror vibration problem. they filled up the mirror with sand and it actually works by absorbing the vibration.

Hey Guys,

I need help in identifying the color/paint code for my black GSR600 2007 model.

There's a small scratch in the tail which I need to repaint and for matching exactly with the color of the bike I would require the color/paint code for the bike's color scheme otherwise it would look very odd.

I do not have Suzuki showrooms here who can give this information.

So guys could you please help me out with this piece of information?

for those of you having fuzzy mirrors, i suggest you travel at least 100km/h. the vibrations are not pegged to speed ie the faster you go the more blur it is. the vibrations only occur at a certain RPM range. correct me if im wrong, but its called resonance. try going at 130km/h and the mirrors vibrate less than at 80km/h. for me it vibrates quite badly at 5000rpm. above 6000rpm(102km/h), i can make out vehicle models and stuff.

for those of you who claim that your mirrors are so fuzzy that you cant make out number plates, think about this. why you wanna see the number plates in the first place? buy 4D? go onemotoring for fun and look up the plate no.? the mirrors are for checking of vehicles and not number plates. so as long as you can see the vehicles ok already what.

so to conclude, travel at different speeds and see how it affects the vibes at the mirrors. then find a comfortable speed where you can make out vehicles. try it. just my two cents my brothers.

What you say is somewhat true, there are more vibrations at certain RPM. I can see around the range of 4-6 RPM. I got an Air-Fuel Controller and I guess it improves the vibration quite a bit, after a quicky tuning.

I still cannot shake the 4.5k RPM issue. Guess will need to adjust my TPS again (previously done). Doing so will reduce my engine braking power......as what Imran experiance also after tuning. Hahahah. So will need to decide on Smoothness but no/less engine brake or Safety but have engine brake.

sorry bro, but i have to disagree on this. for me, to be able to c the number plate is just an example as how stable the mirror is. as we know, in s'pore the normal speed and legal is abt 70 to 90km/h, >100km/h is illegal, so i think advising ppl to travel more than the speed limit is not right. thus i believe our stock mirror are not able to perform when we are riding within speed limit.

if the mirror is fuzzy, won't ur decision making be fuzzy too? when the image sawn was fuzzy and certain thing can't be certain (or certain thing being miss out), we will start to assume and that assumption can cost our life.

during day time is not so bad but at nite time, the fuzzy plus the glare from cars/bikes/bus/lorry can make us miss a single dimly lighted bike tht is squeezing between them and we can unintentionally cut into their lane.

sorry bro, i'm not the type tht buy 4D or have fun checking ppl plate in onemotoring. i just want my mirror to perform as wht it intend too, thts all.

well i'm still alive and free from any mishaps(thank god for that). 130km/h dont try in singapore lar. or do so at ur own risk. but don't come and say you all never exceed 90km/h before lar right arzme? dont tell me PG the back straight you go 90km/h. PG Highway also 90km/h.. and our speedos are not 100% accurate anyway. so 100km/h is still ok. but whatever it is, i respect your opinion. just that i still feel that as i long as i can see the a pair of headlights and not many pairs on one car(my definition of non-fuzzy), i'm safe. if you want perfect mirrors, get super 4 mirrors like somebody mentioned. fugly but does the job. as for me, im happy wif my mirrors. its not a perfect bike, so to me the mirrors are something which i learn to make use of with what i'm given and not let the mirrors make use of me ie irritate me.

have a nice day everyone! =)
