Saw a GSR 600 with TOp.. i took pics but inside my HP... how much will it cost with the BoX? :cheeky:

I'm not sure... my store room got 2 box... i only intend to get the bracket...

Tats normal if you ask me.

I tot my 600 oso like dat. So I switched from stock coolant to WaterWetter about 3 months after I got it. Got significant difference but not very major.

You must remember that the engine is from a superstock 600 thats meant to go round & round continuously. It can survive a Le Mans 24hour race at optimal temp but will have issues at major traffic stops. :)

Bro, just curious.. wat range does u guys consider the temp high? i thought Suzuki had built a GsR which is street ready? Agree that local a bit hot.. do our bike equip with cutoff sensor..? mine always at the range of 88 to 97deg...

Personally, I feel anything in the 90+ range is pretty high.

At 96-97, ur fan will start to spin & the thermostat will release more coolant into the circuit.

Tats why the temp rarely goes above 97 (sometimes mine hits 99 though).

The problem is, even at normal cruising I can hit 97 easily. So imagine riding along a crowded street. The temp will keep bumping from 89 to 97 and down, the fan switching on & off everytime leading to a rather short lifespan for the fan motor.

I never had this issue on my TLR. Even on a crowded street riding, I can maintain a 87-89 temp.

But with a TLR, once it does get hot, there goes your balls...

Sometime at traffic lights it hit 99 and i can see smoke coming out.. OMG.... then i just off the engine n let the fan run.. :faint:

All you need to know about GSR 400/600, be it buying, maintaining or modding, please refer to GSR 600 Thread FAQ page 281 and 282

You shouldn't off the bike.

Just let it run. For the coolant to work effective, it has to be moving. When your bike is on, it will spin the water pump, which in turn, moves the coolant ard and prevents it from turning into steam.

denverdino>>> erm, aren't we saying the same thing? o_O

for those who need to lift the rear wheel up, i suggest you get a 2ton jack

from mustafa, $12.50 a piece. lock the front wheel, sidestand down and

lift up by jacking up swingarm slider. works for me..

anyway, my temperature runs around 83-89 normally. in crawling traffic, never

more than 97 and only goes 3 digits at woodlands checkpoint. still using the

same coolant from the shop 17 000 km ago.

so when can we flush coolant? :cheeky:

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

litre bikes watch out! :gun:

it opens to allow coolant to go into your raditor to be cooled before going back into your engine block....

Hmm.

You're right.

My misunderstanding.

Allows the water back into the radiator at a certain temperature.

I was under the impression that the coolant is always flowing within the radiator & engine block, with the thermostat controlling how much flow / volume of coolant passes between them.
