Often along my way to work abt 7.10am-7.25am from CTE into AYE will c another GSR rider. Look like matt black rider. But he shoots off soon after. Never got a chance to get close to him. By chance any of u guys out there? I'm always carrying a grey sling bag.

oh i dont go AYE.. im staying at punggol area...

ours is a muffler leh. but there is a catalyst converter at the mid pipe. u can remove it but its illegal cos in order to do that, u need to cut the mid pipe n weld back. so 3 years later when the bike goes for inspection, definitely will fail unless u can get someone to do it for u who can get a sure pass.

Jerry, at a glance, no diff at all.

As swoosh described it, the 3 differences described.

Plus, RPM meter range is different.

 

But the best diff is the plastic engine cover on the left side.

sigh, should have bought it earlier otherwise my current scrap would only damage the plastic cover and not the metal cover itself.

 

Actually, I really want to get the plastic cover so mine gonna look like a 400cc. Let those 400s (no names or models mentioned) try to chase me and watch me leave them behind.....

 

Pardon me for bringing up such an old post. But could you please specify the RPM ranges for both the bikes? so that when I see the bike I am comfortable pointing out that whatever I am gonna pick is a 600 one.

600: 16k rpm

 

otherwise, look at the exhaust ports.

the 600 has inner rings that are very close (2-3mm) away from the outer ring.

the gap on the 400 is noticeably wider.

 

otherwise, the rpms on the revmeter is the surest way to know the difference.
