Does anyone rides a Red GSR or a black GSR and is working at The Comtech in Alexandra?

Saw the red one in the morning and the black one at about 8 when i go home. Is the riders here also? Just to say hi to you guys.

i'd say the bigger issue with the GSR is windblast at higher speeds. but that's

easily solved; lots of aftermarket windshields from puig, ermax etc..

maybe, get a test-ride if you can.

and 276km/h is with a few performance mods here & there.

stock setups go about 220km/h IIRC.

Just wondering, whats the top speed you have hit for the GSR400? Was told by one of my friend that it can go up to 200km/hr. Anyone has tried that speed? I honestly dun have the balls to hit that speed. haha :cheeky: :giddy:

ok, let me clarify. the cause of the vibrations cannot be the mirrors because

that would mean that the reason that there are vibrations would be because

there are mirrors on the bike; therefore, implying that removing the mirrors would

hence eliminate vibrations.

the actual cause of the vibrations would be the engine itself. these vibrations

are then transmitted through the body frame to the handlebars and eventually

the mirrors, which manifest these vibrations because of their poor quality.

i was thinking more of the natural frequency of the mirror. perhaps the vibrations from the bike has created some simple harmonic motion which coincide with mirror's natural frequency. hence if you change mirror, it might have different frequency, hence lesser vibrations on the mirror.

anw, i've already found one way to eliminate mirror vibration

either you adjust your mirror till it vibrate lesser, or just knock onto some old apek who rides damn slowly in the jam while trying to weave thru traffic. lol:cheeky: coz my left mirror dont vibrate as much as the right. and that was after i tried to squeeze past that slow apek who is squeezing thru traffic. :cheeky:

how about changing ur riding stance? if i speed i always bend down. pretend to be racer.lol definitely cut the windblast, which does get very strong.:cheeky:

i only tried 145km/h and that was already at 8000rpm i think...racing with a mercs. lol

first time i pump my tyre. 240 front 260 back...

is it ok...?

yup, but try to go as what the manual requires. 250 front and 250 back if you ride alone, if always got pillion, then 290 back. I keep my rear at 275 coz not always got pillion. :cheeky:

Actually hit 200km/hr is ok cause the weight of the bike is stable... just cannot tahan the Wind for long only.

I dun have an issue with vibration.. the bike im ridin also have vibration too. its juz how bad and if it affects the comfort.. but 276km/hr..hmmm dat is pretty impressive for the bike. Dats gd news.. hey thx for the feedback bro!

276km/hr think can hit n cant hold for long due to GSR is naked .. so rider cannot tahan.

For me will pump front 36psi n back 42psi.

Ask for top speed is quite common.. i even hit 210 km/hr in sg road b4... =X

:thumb: Yo bro, Just met ya in the lift. I'm riding the red bike. I still have no freaking idea who's riding the black one with the nice plate number. Nice to meet ya dude. U said u got the ABS bike? Feel any diff compared to normal?? Judging from what i see u riding earlier. U gotta be careful with your GSR. Its lower and heavier. COG shifts when banking. Practice slow in and fast out. Else u regret it. Some may find the ABS as a good thing. I find it an extra burden. Auto Buang System. Safe riding dude!

Well ABS or no ABS, most important is that you enjoy the ride. It takes time to get farmiliar with any vehicle. So becareful. Running-in is the best time to get to know it.

Normal speed anyone can do it, but ah higher speed, you muz know your bike's pros and cons. Even if bike is of the same brand and model, all bikes have their own characteristics (juz like people), thus still different. It treat it well, it will treat you better.

yes, definitely can go up to 200km/h; i'll vouch for that fact.

just don't do it in singapore, remember to grip the tank though.

and the bike is stable, very solid even at that speed, which is commendable

for a naked bike.

yes, have to since i haven't got a windshield.

i do it on long-distance trips or with speed >140km/h.

for your own safety, follow what's on the tire sidewall because the manual is

useless once you change tires. the sidewall has min & max pressure and other

info. pump air only when the tire is cold so that you won't get inflated

(pardon the pun) readings; double-check with your own pressure gauge, some

pump station ones are grossly off. make it a habit to pump about every two

weeks.

if you're the lazy but rich type, consider pumping nitrogen in; will keep the

pressure up for much longer as there's less water vapour compared to

regular air.

hallo friend. people talking about GSR 400 here.

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

litre bikes watch out! :gun:

hi all

just to check those riding the 600 whats the temperature on ur meter? is it normal to hit 99 or 97 degress??

Pretty normal at traffic lights or jams. But once the fan kicks in it drops to ard 80+. BUT if it stays ard that temp wif fan already kick in. Better have it checked. :thumb:

Who what where when?

i don't keep track of which stations have faulty air pumps because it's kinda

pointless innit'? just get a pressure gauge, a simple one will set you back a

massive $3 or so.

some of us have changed to conti sportattacks, pilot powers 2CT, bridgestone

BT021 just to name a few. even if you say bridgestone is good enough, which

model are you refering to. stock is bt014; sport-tourers use bt021; racing, bt002.

people change tires because the stock ones are worn out, or they're looking for

a tire with a different profile or compound to suit different riding purposes.

end of the day: what do YOU want?

I've stick to bridgestone for quite a while now. At the moment still using my stock BT014. Planning to get the BT021. Reason being i travel from punggol to alexandra and back. Harder center compound gives me a longer lifespan. I'm not into spending 500+ for tires that u could shred off in jus 4mths. Like sikonesis said: end of day. wat do you want?
