what do you guys think about the pick up...?

 

to me, does this bike have to start slow as it increase speed..?whenever i change gear, there always a noisy sound... chain sound.. does anyone occurs this...

 

 

Well our bike caters more to the mid-range. Starts to roar ard 4k rpm. But play it well and u would practically pop at the first 3 gears. Chain sound? U din pull your gear hard enuff causing it to jump i guess. Get those *tra trak trak TAK*. But if u recognise its from the chain. U shld check the sag and tighten it.

Yesterday went to KKFC. See alot of GSR around leh. One red with his GF, One on the road giving me a thumbs up and One white one on the way to KKFC. Wow. Just wanna say hi to all the people i meet yesterday. I am the red bike looking lost at KKFC. Haha.

 

Wondering one thing. Is a White GSR parked at The Comtech at alexandra one of our guys here. Saw one at work. And the black GSR we talked about motofreak, my mistake, he's a chinese... saw him on thurs. Haha.

 

Going to MAH now. Feel free to say hi if u guys happen to be around. Have a gr8 Saturday Guys.

wat brand is ur saddle bag?price?am interested in getting one.

 

brand is rjays. price should be in the 120-140 region from LAB/regina

 

but take note that it may damage the paint on your exhause cover due to the rubbing so its recommended to get a big piece of sticker to stick on the exhause cover first

Guys i need help badly

Just finished running in my GSR400, realised that my 1 full tank can only last me about 250km. Is that normal?

and also just went NSH to test the bike then found out that my bike rpm stuck at 9000 at 6th gear about 150km/h. Is there a power cut?

If there's really a problem, can recommend a shop for me to fix it?

bike confirm can go more then that ...mine i tried till 160 for brief period..can still go more...but i scared. maybe..check ur brakepad..previously on my other bike ..the rear brake pad rubbing hard with the disc, thus it make my bike slow...

Anywayz, try and ride it out for a while.

It'll take some time for the engine to settle down and reach its optimum efficiency.

fuel consumption depends on ur riding style. if u r an aggressive rider, every gear oso drag, its normal. if u r a relaxed rider, then 1 tank shd last u abit longer. ur 250km, u pump how many litres?

 

ur rpm stuck at 9k rpm? how about try dragging gear 2 or 3 over that 9k rpm mark? gear 6 torque is weak. u need to down the gear to have the torque to drag. u can try locally at lower gears. if can pass the 9k rpm mark, then its other factors working against the bike thats y cannot hit that mark.

wat u mean by noisy? gear change if practice perfect, the sound produced is minimum.

I use super4 bellypan, the bigger version, not the small ones..and i use steel strip (the strip with many holes) to secure.

Cost $40(ahboy), diy.

U jus open throttle till 150km/hr or u drop gear and change at high RPM.

When u say stuck, wat kind of feedback u get from the bike?

Jus how heavy or big are u? Did u tuck yaself in?

 

from 1-5th gear i open trottle till about 11000rpm but when i up my gear to the 6th, the rpm just dropped to 9000 and just stay there. just feel that the bike can't go any faster after that as the meter showed 150km constabtly.

 

I'm just 70kg only lei so i really dunno what's wrong with my bike

i tried dragging all the gears from 1-5. when i reached 5th gear it was about 11000rpm and when i changed to 6th gear the rpm just dropped to 9000 and stayed there same as my speed at 150km.

Anyone knows any place that can take out the power cut or is there even a power cut on our bike?

 

Heard there's a shop in Ubi that can take out the power cut.... anyone tried?

I dun this tis bike got power cut like S4. What you can try and do is to tune the EFI by installing "power plant" device like PCIII. Even with Power-cut, should be able to hit over 150km/h without any prob.

 

From what I know, gear 6 is meant for cruising mode...but definitely can go more than 150km/h. Do check if your EFI is in working order and that gear 6 is not "faulty". From what you describe, it may have something to do with the EFI or some electronic component. Unless got abnormal sounds coming from engine, then different story, could be piston "die" already.

 

Am I right to say that you are able to hit more than 150km/h at gear 5?

Normally when i accelerate at gear 6, i can hit about 180++ lehz..
