not advisable.

100/90W bulbs have been known to melt the connectors and wires in the

headlamp assembly for the GSR. recommended to stick to 60/55W bulbs.

buy/install at your own risk..

 

 

anyway, 4700k indicates that the bulb has the colour temperature of white

light with a very slight blue tint.

whether it's bright or not, will depend on the bulb itself.

any bulbs to recommend me to get? I wanna change my bulb. Flash Flash ppl still wanna cut me up. Sianz... Horns is also one of them i wanna change. Gonna get a magnum stabel horn but still thinking of where to put. Any one knows how to fix the above two?

 

I blanja the person drink... Pls dun ask me to DIY myself. I simply sux at DIYing things. Tried to fix the alarm and i end up sweatin the whole day till my EJ offered to help me. He did it in 1 hours. I figured for a whole day so..... Thanks guys.

Alamak bro bulbs very easy. I can even do it at work for u while u at work. Hahahahah... I'm just "OUTSTATION" most of the time... hehehehe. U can get the bulb from Razi. The OSRAM bulb, same as wat i am using now. Same light yellow tone but it is 10% - 20% brighter. At least u know ROV wun bother you. As for the stebels. Its hard to find a spot and whats more u might need brackets for it... Of course u gonna need wires for the ralay and all...

Hi, I need an urgent answer ....

 

I just bought a GSR400 today and this is the first hand bike. When I rode it back home, the total milage is 14km only, but I noticed something very wierd ... the temp guage shows 99 Degree Celsius, to me wow .... can that be real ? Is the temperature of the guage be that high or did the engine overheated? I am very eager to know the answer to what is the average temperature should be? Of cos, I will call the bike shop first thing they open tommorrow, but now it is already closed. So I resort to this forum, because all of you are already seasoned riders of GSR.

 

Please advise.

like the others had mentioned, did the fan kick in? if no, its time to go back to the shop n claim warranty. if have, no prob. n weather so hot nowadays, its normal that the temp goes up very easily. my normal is about 85 to 88 day time. nite time 80 to 83. that is provided ur number plate is not blocking the radiator. meaning, the number plate shd not b below the headlamp. if yes, its blocking the air flow to the radiator n optimum cooling is greatly reduced.

no matter how bright is ur bulb, or how loud is ur horn, when ppl wanna cut u, they will just cut u. super bright bulbs or super loud horns wun deter them from doing so. worse is if u do that, most likely u'll b challenged by them.

 

bulbs to buy, as said b4, just get 12V 60/55. wun cause harm to any part of ur wiring harness or headlamp casing. to do something to the bike urself, just do wat u know. dunno? go shop do lor. pay money to learn something.

changing of bulb is very easy one. just remember dun use ur hands to touch the bulb area. the metal part is ok.

Normally at 97 C the fans should kick in. Check the reserve tank of ur radiator- its located on the right side where the seat meets the petrol tank. its a white plastic container. It should be at least half full of coolant. Going back to the bike shop should be ur 1st priority though.

Just a stupid qn. Why cannot touch the bulb? What is the thery behind it? I mean touch only. curious lah. I mean when we change bulb for our house, we will touch the bulb to screw the thing in. So why the h4 bulb cannot touch? Will it be affect by some way?

if u wanna know, all bulbs cannot b touched. after touched must use kerosene n clean i think. even the bulb casing oso state not to touch the bulb. wat i heard is the bulb wun last as long as the one which is handled carefully. who knows man... its either u touch or dun touch.

I can't give u the technical details- for that u gotta ask the Enlightened ones. Simply put, these H4 bulbs r super sensitive to contact with our skin. Micro matters on the skin causes some kind of chemical reaction that damages the bulb.

 

I just changed mine about a week ago. Best part is when i visually checked the spoiled bulb, the filaments inside r perfectly intact. beats me why it's spoiled. I still keeping it for future study

Its not advisable to use LED actually. Wun last long anyway. Best to use standard T10 Bulbs. U could get Philips Silver Bright from Motoworld. Its jus $13 after bargaining. It shines at 4000k so its bright white.
