The moral of the story is to use 1 big gigantic bulb Super Duper Bright....So ROV no choice got to summon only 1 bulb...hehehehe

Anyway, my plan is to fix up LED bulbs that are high intensity and would only require 1 per point. Saw one at the net...it comes with a resistor so should lasts long. The bulbs are hard to spot I think when switch ON, won't be so noticable. Anyway its a project so have not plan yet.

Anyone interested? THen I order from US....share shipping costs.

anybody interested doing a DIY session for pilot lights? it looks good for this bike cos the signals are in the tank itself. so they look like attractive side markers..

Got one problem though...need a realiable light source + very nice and matching switch + nice wiring harness.

personnally, i wouldnt want a very nice and matching switch. for mine i used to installed a simple small black switch on the left of my handlebar.

till one night, i was stopped by a traffic police, who spotted the switch and bent down to look at my under tray. i got a warning from him who told me that if an ROV were to stop me, i'll be very sad.

next time when i come down for a meet, i'll show you where the switches are and stuffs like that. :)

rien d'autre que le max.

This i must c. I was thinking of installing wide angle LED at strategic places. Jus in case i need to do some emergency repairs or whatsoever..

Luxeon led is your answer to it but the only downside of it is that u need a place to hide the 10W ceramic resistor which is super hot when operating.

The resistor is far more bulky then the led itself

Went to MAH today to check on my Headlight bulb. Result is that the bulb itslf is ok. The problem lie with the wire that connects the bulb. As it is too short, i snapped thus there is no high beam. Reconciled the problem and now its back to normal.

BTW wanna ask. Does the bike's engine sound louder when using malaysia's petrol? Mine seems to sound louder than b4. Or issit that the bike has been whacked and the gears and engine is gone case liao..... **** SHOULD HAVE CONTAIN MY URGE TO SPEED.....

The sound coming from the engine? Or the exhaust? Have u changed the EO. DID u use the same EO as before? Did u add anything extra besides the EO? Additive or sumthing? Different EO has diff viscosity. Additives may make it thicker or thinner. So it does makes a lot of diff.

I went to MAH today. The Mechanic say no need to change the EO. I din change the type of EO used at all. I using ELF MOTOTECH. Addictive nope.

The sound come from the engine. Its just that the engine idle at a more higher volume than before after that trip. I am putting my guess on the petrol that is giving me problem.

Now has runned 3250 on my odo with 1600 for my 3rd EO. but mech at MAH told me since i using fully synthetic i no need to change the EO till i hit 3k. Worried worried...

Bro, seriously Suzuki is like that.

Bikes are designed to run at high speeds.

Bikes are not designed to put around at one speed (unless you're on a cruiser) like a blardy tractor.

Its meant to rev throughout the rev range. Once in a while, running the bike at its limit helps the bike, not hurt it. You are hurting it more by trying to ride it at the lowest speed possible.

The engine is not gone case. Suzuki is known to produce bikes with raw noisy engines. Hang out more with other Suzuki groups and you will notice it.

If you wanted a quieter bike, a Honda or Yam will do it. If you want an ice-cream bike, Ducatis will fit the bill. Suzuki sits in between.

Don't worry.

As long as you have done proper running-in (whichever method used) and as long as you maintain the bike as required (regular oil + filter changes, valve servicing, regular rides), it will be ok.

Don't worry about the sound. If it makes you feel better, try have a go on my bike. 2 years old, uses only esther-based synthetics, hard broke-in with standard running-in, valves done and due in another 20K km, engine custom-tuned with a fren's map and always hitting average 100 km/h on the road.

Top speed tested and 140km/h endurance run done twice to Melaka.

Its noisy when started initially but quietens down when running as normal.

You'll see it still runs like the day I took it out from the shop.

I have not had a problem with the engine in all 2 years.

In fact, my last coolant change, I had the mech ride it around. Absolutely perfect, he says.

So don't worry.

Just make sure you maintain the bike properly.

I am sure what Wildcard said is right cos of his experiences he has accumulated over the time he has been riding...

Seriously tho, the bike gives me a more rumbling feel when I use Esso as compared to me using Shell...

I used Shell 98 when I went into GP the first time and used Mobil F1 the second time and I do feel the coarseness somehow...

Even my brother who used Esso for his car felt the coarseness before switching to Shell...

I dunno whether it is just me or my brother, or there isn't much of a difference... but yeah, my own experience tells me there is something about the petrol we use too...

I have tried Caltex Platinum (before they increased the price again!) and that was the smoothest feeling I have ever gotten, even when riding at low speeds...

But hey! Its soon time for an EO and filter change... maybe I can get a better judgement after that...

Sigh...

and hopefully the Malaysian govt abandons the idea of having separate systems for foreign and their local motorists...

Although well, it is good for Singapore's economy as it increases domestic consumption should Singaporeans end up fueling in Singapore, thus enabling us to ultimately have a stronger currency in the long run...

Yeah i been using caltex since the day i took my bike out. Been smooth and quite quiet i must say. Till the day i went to GP and pump 5 litre of ESSO and 8 Litre of Shell V Power Racing. Than the bike seems noisier. I wonder if mixing petrol is okay... Now trying to get rid of the 13 litre of mixed petrol to pump caltex again...
