Morning, all.

Hey, any possibility we can shift the meeting timing to about 8+?

I think I'm leaving earlier from my house.

So those who can meet up earlier, just head down to KKFC.

I receive this info from a source:

Our bikes comes with 3 keys. 2 black keys & 1 red key. The black keys are the one we use to start the bike while the red key is use to program the ECU (or whatever it called) to a new key, if we do lost one of the black one. That say, we can program our own bike to the new key. All u need to buy a blank key from GH and do the programming urself.

Don't know how reliable this info is.

Then you need to save $50 x 7 gloves x 2 months for each gloves = 14 months of savings to be done hahahha.

A cheaper alternative is to get the constuction white gloves....with $50 can buy bulk....should be able to get 100 pairs hehehehe.

That's what I felt to.

Meaning, there should be a way to replicate or copy the key code from the ECU into a new key.

Of course, it would the make the bike VERY unsafe as technically, anyone with a spare blank key and some knowledge can make a copy of the key and and code from the ECU and drive off with your bike.

But considering that the bike is secure, the thief needs physical access to an actual key to cut from to be able to insert into the ignition, physical access to the ECU and certain connectors to access the codes, that would be a rather hard job.

An easier way is just to pay off the bike shop mech who owns your spare key to give it to the thief, ala Gone In 60 Seconds (the laser-cut Mercedes keys).

U bought full cash from bikeshop? As for mine, TSP holding on to 1 key. Not sure if they holding on to any RED key or whatsoever

i was told there r only 2 keys at southern. never heard of the red one. wow... ABS dangerous sia... i think use a lanyard to secure the key to our arm. so we wun forget to take the key after stopping the bike. or put a box oso can. sure u need to remove the key, then go box put helmet, n then box, only when u close n lock the box then the key can take out. so its 99.9%^ safe. :D
