I dun think they use the same block. Only for one reason, 400 got plastic cover on the left leh....600 dun have. To conclude, 600cc bigger block.

You can bore yours bigger...which will bring up the cc to maybe 5 to 10cc or even more!! Making it 405cc or 410cc... hheheh Not much improvement to me.

Install VTEC in GSR??? How??? Project???

Muz mark here.....I've reach POSTS '888'.

Bro, the plastic cover is merely an extension.

I've already tested it on my 600 for the failed Project X (failed not due to failure but failed due to cancellation).

One of the Gissers had the top opened up before.

Its the same block. Just different bore size.

Theoretically, its is possible.

But the costs and inconveniences involved will be the same getting a 600 and have no issues at all.

What for install VTEC?

Suzuki's butterfly valves has proven itself repeatedly as far superior.

I dun want to add something that will dampen my riding experience (jerky riding at 6500 rpm) and add an extra 10+ kg.

On the contrary, we should be looking at more Rizoma parts.....

13.5k is a good deal. Aiyah think these guys jus pass 2A one very ganchiong wanna get big bike anyhow kenna psycho. Kinda sad really. Die die must do research first. Oh choose the right colour. Some got less horse power then the other. This is important. Not many know of this issue. Sometime back Sikonesis and Wildcard explained the theory in depth so newbies shld check up on this before buying.

Yeah. Just remember that red means danger because it is the slowest and is a road hazard. Black is the fastest.

Hi Guys. Its Qns time. How do u adjust the rear brake to make it more sensitive. As in press lesser for more effective braking. BESIDE changing the hoses.... Asked and it cost a bomb really for ABS to change...

I remember that there is a knob near the Click of the rear brake. That is for my old bike lah.

total tank capacity is 16.5 litres. reserve is 3.5 litres. last bar only flashing means ur left with 3.5 litres. last bar and pump flashing means ur left with 2 litres and u better reach ur destination soon or go pump at least another litre or u'd have to be like me and push 2.5km to the nearest petrol kiosk.

correction: should be pump icon only flashing, other info is spot on.

if it makes you feel better, the fuel gauge is an overestimation, in the sense that

when it first shows you have 3.5l left, you actually have slightly more in the

region of 3.7-4l.

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

litre bikes watch out! :gun:

It might be possible that the pads has been glazed. Therefore it doesn't grip proper. Try removing the pads to check it out. If its smooth as if glassy look then u gonna need a dremmel or grinder to roughen it up a bit.

Im willing to help to change, repair, or do anything with brake pads....

Those who wans me to do, let me know, i only charge makan for labour..

Who what where when?

Maybe u mite wanna angle the brake lever higher. So when u step on it u have more "play" and go "deeper" and "lower" with it. KhehHEHehehHEH

Oh i found this waaaaay back for the newbies. Important when choosing colour.:

_______________________________________________________________________

Silver and 'lighter' colors, being on the higher end of the color spectrum (above the blue/violet spectrum) has a very small wavelength.

As defined:

"The smaller the wavelength, the smaller the structures with which they interact and the more powerful the energy."

Source: http://www.colormatters.com/sci-physics.html

In other words, when light interacts with silver, a high amount of energy is radiated away as silver color which results a major loss in power for the vehicle.

Black, at the bottom of the color spectrum and has a very high wavelength value, retains most of its energy which is used by the vehicle, in this case the bike, in its transmission power.

A good site for formula calculations: http://www.usbyte.com/common/approximate_wavelength.htm

Some more very good read : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_spectrum

So thus, the loss of power (as much as -10BHP) for silver colors. I'm not sure what's the effect of white. No research has been done yet and I fear maybe none as the results may be too horrifying to reveal in this industry where looks matter over performance

thanks dude.

credit must also be due to wildcard for doing supplementary research.

i'm doing a study on the difference in power between cherry red and maroon

coloured bikes.

will extend study to see how FC is affected:

1) with and without panniers

2) differing warm-up lengths

3) travel distances

all with same fuel volume.

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

So we are back in the colour biz again huh? What to do. My bike is one of the slowest around. With gunmetal bars and braces, not to mention silver windshoeld, confirm -20BHP already. So see me no need to rev too hard to overtake me hor.

On the way back along pasir panjang rd heading towards ECP earlier i was overtaken by a silver GSR. FBB ***. Rider wearing blue coverall. He beeped and waved and sped through the traffic. Din have a chance to wave back. So "HI BRO! " Anyway at the same time this is a fine example of how a 600cc Red Bike is slower than most bikes.

Same here! I buy bikes based on OTR prices. But breakdown seems unnecessary unless the bike shop is stupid enough to tell me how much profit is making out of the sale

i tot you dun check the price before you buy any bike??? :D

but i dun wanna be a hazard. i safe rider leh. but ok lar red means sexy oso. maybe we're hazards on the road by being sexy and sleek.

ah gui smart ah... charge ONLY makan.. which probably consists of 2 cheese prata, 1 nasi goreng pattaya and ice kachang right? so in the end mus pay 13 bucks for service for changing of brake pads..

-20BHP means mus relegate you to the league of underpowered Monster 400s already u noe..
