Heys Wildcard...

Just changed to fully OWS...

The gear change seems fine... tho maybe I have to wait a little while longer to see how smooth it can be...

Or maybe GSR engine is super pretty scarily noisy...

but it may be because I was riding in my school without my helmet... heheh... (teacher should set a good example huh?)

That is one nice throttle grip... perfect companion! by the way, u guys went down to check it further already? freaking nice...

Hi all, I've just changed my engine oil at Loois over the weekend and I'm quite sure that the mechanic did put 3.2L if not gurantee 3L (balance 200ml was from the excess so I'm not sure if he put in exact 200ml of engine oil) of engine oil. However, when I tilt my bike upright, the engine oil didn't seems to appear on the tiny glass window found on the casing. I can only see the engine oil between high and low when I tilt my bike further more to the right side about 30 to 35 degree more. Can I check if anyone encounter this problem before? Could this be till to leaking or it is normal?

Many thanks in advance!

It is important to check your EO when the engine is cool. This is because when you start up the bike, the EO have all gone up the engine, thus not accurate anymore.

Makes sure that the bike is upright. Top up if you see that the EO is not in between the High and Low levels. DO NOT Over top-up. Bad for engine.

Do top up when needed. Monitor this for a few days to see if the EO level drops again. If yes, go to shop to check for leakage.

Sum1 selling his FAT bars. Goin at 120. Maybe can bargain furthur.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192922

If you guys want to really consider Fatbars or other similar scram handles, check out alternative forums focusing on scramblers and trail bikes.

I can't name it here but I'm sure many of you heard of it.

I got a deal for a used Jap-brand but reliable fat bar for like less than $40.

More branded ones are competitive prices.

Hi IvikaRazI, many thanks for clearing my doubt! I will monitor my engine oil level for the next few days!

Did this missing-oil thing happen before the last oil-change or only on this one?

A common fault might be under-tightening of the oil-drain plug.

One simple way to check also: When you park overnight, check the floor where you park your bike on the night you park and in the morning after. See if any new wet / dark spots appear on the floor. But if it rained overnight, forget it la.

Word of advice - unless you are standing / sitting next to the mech during the whole process of oil-change (which I do) and is very sure that the mech has poured the correct amount of oil in, do a oil-level check before leaving the shop. This will minimize such issues.
