I just went to CNA website and search for any news on the adjustments, but maybe they have not posted in the web yet. I will go home later and look at the CNA ... hope that it is true that they have announced the new adjustments to allow bike to pump petrol .... :D

From Singapore's TODAY paper online.

There is an entire thread dedicated to this issue with bikers performing actual field testing as well news update in the Latest News section.

Its in the same forum as this one, last I checked. So you should be able to navigate there without much difficulty.

Now, if TODAY's paper (the only source I can find fast enough rite now) isn't accurate enough, please ask your M'sian contact to open up a TC with the Menteri Besar.

That might help...

the news came out already in Today newspaper or My Paper, was reading both so forgot which paper the news was in. Ban not applicable to bikes.

But not so sure whether we're gonna pay higher price or the same as the locals.

i guess according to the article, malaysia just slapped themselves on the face.

one chinese acronym which i can say is: once water is poured from a basin, it is difficult to retrieve the water. applying it on malaysia, once the word is given out to ban vehicles, there is no way to take back the words. only way is try to go round and round and round until people can be appeased.

malaysia, truly an ALL ROUNDED country. :giddy:

anyway, with regards to my givi topbox lock that was stuck, what i did was i brought it to 219 to get it fixed.

the damage is $25 to my pocket to get the lock fixed. (heng ah)

the process takes abt 45 mins.

however, if your whole lock assembly is spoiled, the damage will be $65.

i didn't check at LAB becoz they really troublesome. don't need to ask locksmith to open coz if stucked, i believe they also have to spoil the lock to open. so you have to pay for locksmith and new lock. not worth it.

according to 219 mechanic, the new batch of givi topboxes got alot of lock problems. see heng or suay that one will encounter such problem. for me is suay. hahaha but all is well now.

this is one dumb rumour which became reality. They implement without testing the ground. Apparently there are resistant in the business communities and now the govt is not sure how to enforce it. My suggestion is to stay put and wait for the dust to settle....

anyway, i miss wildcard.

think the new batch of givi cases r from malaysia rather then italy. but italy cases r alot more expensive.

FC is abt 18-25km/L depending e type of rider u are...

price will depends on ur age n insurance...

should be abt 14.5k OTR for brand new bike... excluding e interest...

if u looking for 2nd hand bike, can consider mine...

icic thks alot.. im just asking around cos i still got long way to 2a and still taking 2b.. so if the price and FC is good then most prob buy cheap 2b then get gsr 400 when got 2a.. thks alot =]

Maybe by the time u get your 2a, other 400cc come out, your choice will change. My aim was to ride a S4 when I enrol for the 2a, but after pass, I get a GSR :cheeky:

Help!

I accidentally drop my bike on its right side cos not paying attention... (talking to my friend while reversing from parking (it was a gentle slope!))...

Now my rear brake lever senget (bent)... Doesnt feel right anymore...

Side box is useful at this point of time...

Anyone know where a good place to bend it back straight and readjust the lever position? Or anyone can guide me in DIYing?

Sad... now bike no longer so chio already... unless I am able to bend the lever back... Tho its not too serious... just that it is inwards a bit...

Anyone who experience it before care to share what you do?

u still taking 2B? then u shd focus on 2B bikes instead of a 2A bike. by the time u pass 2A, its about 18 mths from now. the pricing for GSR may b different already.

just concentrate on 2B. pass already, go thru the 1 year probation then think about 2A. its a long way.

the rear brake lever is made of aluminium. if bend by force, it will break so do think twice b4 u do anything to the lever.
