is it just my bike or wad? last sunday i went for the durian ride with my pillion.. and we went at 140km/h - 150km/h. the fan kept coming on and off and the temp kept reaching 97 degrees even when im travelling at 140km/h! is it really impossible to tour at 140km/h with a pillion on board?

i had that similar experience when i first went up malacca with the GSR. i didn't thought it was problem though i averaged 160km/h from GP to ayer keroh (222km and the tank was dry). maybe its the engine being abit too stressed?

anyway nice meeting you at customs the other day, although it was brief. by the way, i think i've seen your bike before at changi village during my dinner break. you working around there? or just dropping by for dinner. :)

Me and my friend were gonna have dinner there when i noticed 2 GSRs and one with the SGBikes logo.. yeap real nice to see u guys the other day. i thought u guys were going for durians tho..

coolant was fine a week ago. normal riding seems fine.. its only on sunday when this 'problem' occurred. quite worrying cos i don't want anything bad to happen to my 'wife'. i'll go check my EO level later.. thanks kaozie.

I believe Extreme Equipment sells the speedohealer. They will install for you. As to how to calibrate it, I think one of the bro here has fixed it before, so he will be able to teach you more on this.

Here is their thread on Speedohealer:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135112

I was about to purchase it few weeks ago, but decided not because my speedo error is not that great when I tested with two other gps devices just to comfirm the readings. It's around -5km/h when over 100km/h, speed below 100km/h the reading is almost +/- 3km/h, so I think the error is ok to me.

It's your choice... if you really willing to spend $$$ to fixed that error.

Cheers,

Cyrix

this shd not b happening. the amount of wind blast shd b able to cool down the engine. anyway, where is ur front number plate situated?

Its not necessary lah bro. Your bike too many gadgets liao. And i dun see u going that fast anyway... A diff of 2 to 3km/h is not so drastic to waste on that small box

Have a professional shop (usually that means those 3-letter shops are automatically eliminated) check and test your thermistor & water temp sensor.

A faulty thermistor / water temp sensor might send the wrong data to the ECM, making it think that the temp is rising and activating the fan automatically.

Because testing the 2 mentioned devices are rather tricky, the use of the tech manual is required.

Only 2 shops (other than Suzuki agent) so far I know off has the GSR tech manual : Planet Motors and Racewerks.
