i got my gsr today.. where do u guys put ur front plate number at. i find my one in a weird position..

Hi, marcus, i just got my GSR 3 weeks ago. My front number plate is placed between my forks, directly above my front fender.

Wonder where's your front plate is placed at?

Congratulations to you on getting a GSR.

4 places you can put the number plate

1) On the meter or above head light

2) Below the head light

3) on the fender

4) ......

Be creative :). Use Imagination............or best way, meet up during outings and see how the others mount them.

Fellow Riders,

Could you please advise if there is a good service center which can service GSR400. Though I brought the bike from MAH, their service center folks are not the best (at least I feel) for GSR. Do you know any specialist for GSR

Thanks

Let the most stupidity person in this group to give the most stupidity idea ... that's me ... hehehe ...

Here goes:

Paste it on the helmet just above the visor ... is that creative enough ... :D

Paste a small sticker of the license plate number on the head light cover ... act like "Batman" spotlight projection system so everyone knows your plate number (of cos the light must be modified to shine on the ground to show the number)

Put a flag on your handle bar with your license plate number

Wear a riding T-shirt/jacket with your license plate number imprinted on it...

Ahhh ... run out of juice liao ...

Anyway, Razi is correct ... join the group for outing and naturally we will "poison" you with ideas on how to mod your ride ... :D

Nowadays a lot of bike shops should have mechanics experienced with GSR since it has been around for 2 or more years already. For me, I go to HKL at Bukit Merah ... some bros here may not like HKL ... but for me, I know the mech there and he has shown me his great dedication to my bike, so I kept returning to him for servicing if need be...

I think you should at least tell us where you stay (north, east, south or west) so that bros here can recommend the nearest to you ... if not ... if you stay at West and if they recommend you a shop at Changi .. will you still go?

Anyone got feel the 'jerkiness/throttle snatch' its a feeling like 'throw clutch' when changing gear at high speed..4.5 rpm and above..

Someone in the UK got the way to eliminate this issues without using pc3..

Many bikes (not only suzuki) with EFI got this issues, just that the easiest way to solve this issues is by using PC3

This method may increase your FC by abit...

I already did mine...now in testing phase..

Between gsr 400 n 600... which is recommended? Coz it seems 600 have alot of things at e market...but not 400. But i notice s'porean buy more gsr 4 then 6...Y???:giddy: :giddy:

Looks u re in 'dilemma' in choosing btwn 4 & 6...

Hmmm

For me its depend on what is ur real need and what is ur finance status.

-If u re riding ONLY in spore road, 400cc is just nice, but 600cc abit up

-If u like to go travel, 600c will suite u better,

-If u want performance 600cc will be best option if u compare with GSR4because of cc & the availability of performance parts (legal pipe)

- If u intend to upgrade or change to other bike, GSR4 will be the choice as it is a class 2A bike (demand higher compare to class 2 because of various choice)

- If u want to save fuel, not a speedy rider then GSR4 will be best

- If u still not sure, just get 600.... just like me!

Honestly, i feel GSR is a versatile & reasonable bike...

I'm riding GSR6 and i must say UP TO DATE i'm really satisfied with the handling and performance... No regret

Lastly, choose what u really like and the one suite u most,

Different rider got different way of thinking... Wish u all the best :thumb:

I was "lucky" to be stopped by ROV the other time. Was warned about the lisence sticker pasted on the sides. At the same time told to remove my "coke can" by the side. Khehehehe...

The indicator got 3 position, high - middle - low, manual stated middle. But there are many variations ..

EXAMPLE only: at 0-3=low , 3-6 =middle , 7-10=high. Even on '3' , its still middle..as recommended on manual ..

The best setting is set it to '6' or '7'.

I don't know if you can understand it ..

Why I can really feel my bike jerkness is that, when i check the tps ..my "-" is in the lower middle position .....as from

my example above..mine is at '3'....

Maybe DIY session ?? But someone need to get the T25 anti tamper screwdriver ...

I dont have that screwdriver, thus i use plier to loosen the screw..but i need to remove the throttle case..super hard method..easy way is to get mini rachet set. Cost $25..no need to remove even the airbox ..just lift tank will do ..

I want to help in cleaning the chain.. Since I was using the chain wax, the chain is dirty. I also want to clean the air filter as I feel bike is not breathing resulting in frequent stalling. Temp is also very high in the range of 90 even in long travel. It could also be due to the timing and I need some help with that..

May be the bike has not got the regular servicing it needs.. Looking at the manual, it ask us to do quite much.. Any one who specializing in GSR servicing

Take care Bro

Hello Friends,

Castrol is the choice (atleast majority) of Oil in UK for bikes.. I find that castrol not much in use in Singapore. I would like to hear any experience in using Castrol
