Haha i am ok with checking it out. My bike will be going to mechanic today during lunch and be warded till tomolo earliest. Asked my mech to do full bike check up. hope nothing goes wrong again

Dude... u seriously looking like a big fresh juicy carrot to me rite now. No point lah send bike in just for those 2 overflow pipes. Yes there will be traces and smell of petrol cause of evaporation. Summore u placed the bike under the sun. Kenna rain and all. The rain water will absorb and dilute the petrol vapours and flow below. That is the function of that hose anyway in the tank. Have u noticed that when u open the tank cap u would see a hole by the side? That is to divert rain water and petrol overflow to that hose below. Do not waste time and money to send your bike in for nuthing. Unless u have sumthing else u not telling us lah bro.

Hi guys...

 

Been involved in an accident... A hit and run...

So hopefully when i can recover my bike need all the help and tips I can get..

Was riding along Mandai Road, or is it Mandai Ave... somehwere there, from yishun straight ahead...

 

I was some of the first from the junction, riding middle lane, saw this silver lorry suddenly coming so fast behind me...

 

Was about to speed up before I knew it he overtake me from the left barely inches away he was filling up my lane and the 3rd lane... and i was positive i was in the middle of the lane...

 

Left and right of was even empty...

 

Lorry side swiped me, I fell and tumbled and the worse thing is I couldnt get the plate number... lorry sped off...

 

Its a silver lorry like the one usually used to carry workers or stuffs...

 

Witness say he travelled very fast but also couldn get the plate number...

 

Hopefully some kind soul did noticed it and informed about the number...

 

Accident was around 11pm on 14.10.2008

 

Bike condition is good just that the cosmetics is bad...

Normal thing, handle bar, lever... my iu unit... basically all things protruding on the left of the bike are gone... I trust sliders...

engine seems fine.. can start the last i tried... sounds fine too...

 

Oh well... only thing is I just hope there is a way to reach out to whoever witness to come forward or did see... cos i remembered when the lorry sped away, he was approaching a junction at far and there were a lot of cars there... forgot whether he quickly filtered left...

 

Sigh... there goes my bonuses and my nov paycheck and a decent holiday...

Sound advice. No matter if u cannot get the lisence place or not. Just make a police report. I would have called immediately at the incident location if i were u. Report to your insurance that u were involved in a hit and run. Describe as detailed as possible. For now all your repair that u upfront, make sure u keep every single reciept even those that u go for hospital treatments and taxi. Keep a copy of every MC that u get. If possible give your work the photocopy and the original tell them your insurance company require them. I'm sure they will understand. Hmmm... Most prob your bike at airport road.

frankly, now adays i find tht lorries/vans drive very fast over their speed limits and sometimes on the expressway even dare to drive on the first lane and hog the lane. but what can do, there are so many vehicles on the road thus when they drive on 1 & 2 lane on the 3 lane expressway, just can mubble to oneself only.
