Like this young man's work. He chose the colour and design for me. He even put back the seat after adding the cushion, let me try on it to make sure that I m happy with it before he wrap it.

Hi All

I am going to fix 24/24 carb and alloy block in a few days time,(about $400+),any bro or sis here can advice me on what to lookout for.Mine is a Italian PX150.Everything is working well, just like to increase the top speed.

make sure the mechanic enlarges the hole on your carb box to match the new carb.... a 24/24 has a bigger hole than a 20/20

Hi everyone, Im considering on buying my first bike. I like traditional vespas but i want to try the newer modernized range. I only have class 2b. Any tips for a new rider like me?

And which is better.. GT 200 or GTV 250.

Sorry for the dumbass questions. I'm new, so i'm not all sure abt these things.

Cheers!

LX 150 hmmm do u have one of those? I do see alot of guys out there using really vintage mod style vespas.. and probably those could be costly to restore and maintain. What do you think? The reason why I want a twist and go vespa is mainly for convenience. For a start, I would like to experience a brand new bike.. to learn more abt riding and owning a bike.

What was it like for you guys getting ya first scoot..

bro....if you are thinking to get a GT200 new, dun think too long, think left with 6 units, all in silver....

depending on your built, normally i would recommend guys GTs as the built is better, CG is lower and the cc is optimised at 200cc.

for LX150, i experience front end is light and will tend to vibrate when speed reaching 90kph. and generally LX is light and with a guy's average weight sitting on it will result in higher CG, thus leading to riding more unstable during high speed corners.

what i have said is just my experience...2 cents worth ;)

Really? damn.. In any case its sold out, I'll probably consider other models. My friend once said to get a second hand bike in case I intend to upgrade bikes a year later. So, we'll see. I don't think i will get sports bikes coz scooters are my main thing.

LX 150 is ok i guess. Spent sometime reading the reviews of the bike. though its not as powerful as the GT 200.

Jus some queries.....

1) Can the cowl of a sprint fits onto a PX w/out any welding or modifications?

2) I've seen some cowls with a box/compartment on it. Wat model does it belongs to?

Thanks in advance....can't seem to find these answers in wiki, SBF or VCS

hey... a sprint cowl needs mods before it'll fit on a px.

some sprints, supers and px's have a side box (common to all but with diff designs.)... You can buy them second hand... not new.

Thanks Sharpey. :)

Intend to change my PX's cowls. Am looking for sprint ones (Or any other models' cowls - preferable with side box).....dunno wats the damage though....

Anyone selling??? :?

But then again....does a PX look weird with sprint cowls when the 'squarish' leg shield or nose (if tats wat u call it) is not changed....:giddy:

Why do you want to change?

What's wrong with the PX ones?

Honestly, if you want a nicer looking scooter, buy a proper sprint. You'll spend much less and have a higher value in the long run...
