Hmm.. this thread stopped for 20 days le... but we shd keep this thread up and running !!! hehe

Shall start here... U guys care to share the fuel consumption of ur classic scoot.... Do tell us ur model, consumption, waht u use ok!! to kick start.....

1) Model - Sprint V, 1978

2) Petrol - Shell V Power

3) 2T Oil - Castrol R2 / Power1

4) Lowest FC - 32km/l (following the legal speed of all roads)

5) Highest FC - 25km/l (Full throttle for pickup + 100+- km/h on E.W.)

6) With Pillion On Average - 27km/l

I'm not sure whether my FC is good or bad, would like to see u guy's FC too... It seems alright for me....alright guys, contribute.??? THANKS!

hi all....Wanna ask if the Ah joo shop.....they allow instalment of buying a bike or the restoration process???and hw about the interest cos i wanted to buy a vespa but could'nt pay that much for a restored at one go.....

Dreams are only dreams, but working towards your dream will no longer be just your dream. It will be reality

Posted

1) Model - PX 200e-efl (2000) - stock but with mod exhaust and 118 main jet

2) Petrol - The Cheapest 92 around

3) 2T Oil - Esso Fully Synthetic

4) Lowest FC -23km/l

5) Highest FC - 20km/l (Full throttle for pickup + 100+- km/h on E.W.)

6) All riding done with pillion = heavy load = heavy consumption

I make up for this by buying cheap petrol. Unless you need high octane (i.e. malossi top end) you're wasting your money. The px runs sweet on 92 and keeps my wallet from losing unecessary weight...

Speaking of losing weight.... new years resolution....

Hmmm

23.8 km/llowest

21km/l highest

when i first bought, i pumped v power/esso98... but had some problems..

lots of sparks created and other prob....

so i went to pump 95.... works ok....

after changing the 12v CDI wiring and alloy block... when back the v power and good 2T, and there WAS a BIG diff..... 2T plays a part too....

u can try the diff....between low smoke, synthetic, and fully synthetic.. got diff i feel...~~~ although i WOULD LOVE to pump cheaper petrol for equal performances, but still, $ = Performance and wear & tear i hope ;)

un-sith... I've tried spending more money to increase fuel economy.

If there are any differences between the economy of 92 vs 95 vs 98 they

are very small... much smaller than the price difference between them...

I know because I spent about 6 months tracking the differences on an excel sheet...

That's the only reason I use 92... cheap and good...

I'd only consider 95 or 98 if I had engine mods....

As for the 2 stroke oil.... well, you have to treat your darling to some things,

sythetic oil she appreciates, 95 or 98 petrol she don't....

Cheers.

alright, i'll take note of it.

So far. V power and R1 combi is the best for me. in terms of pickup and top speed.
